rust proof na pang-ilalim

mga sir! gud pm po, ask ko lang feedback nyo regarding sa pagpapa- rust proof ng ilalim ng auto, ok po ba ito?

may malapit na auto-paint shop sa min and sabi e P1,800.- daw including labor na. 3M na class B ung paint na gagamitin. Need some advice lang po kasi parang gusto ko ipa- rust proof ung ilalim ng auto ko

Ok mag pa rustproofing sa caltex. ang kaso wala na sila chieffy na caltex marc

sa amin nalang pwede.. 3m gamit for rustproofing caltex din yun nga lang sa bulacan hehehe

3m is a good brand, the rubberized one.

nag inquire ko sa petron car care center dito sa ortigas... they priced me 1900 for my 7g galant. kaso hindi 3m ang gamit nila they use their own paint brand haluan lang daw nila ng kerosen para daw mas makapit. any feedback on their paint? tnx

Kerosene is what they use as "thinner" for undercoat compound. Best pa rin yung 3M, though I am not sure ano yung Class B because AFAIK walang Class B item ang 3M and malamang binubullsh!t ka lang nung kausap mo and gagamitin nya one of those cheaper undercoat compounds in the market.

Another factor you guys should consider is how much kerosene vs. undercoat ang gamit, baka mamaya sobrang lipis din ang halo and it won't last you one flood. I got a painter to do our trucks here in our place, and 1 can of undercoat kaya 2 trucks, so siguro car underchassis around 1/4 to 1/3 of a can. A can of 3M costs around 1,200++ last time I bought one, while cheaper brands can go as low as 500 bucks. Just so you know.

3M po ang gamit ko. Its BS if they tell you that theres a class B 3M undercoat, ask for the unopened can before they apply it. Kerosene is used to dillute the 3M compund and increase its viscosity so that it can be sprayed. Once applied to the underchassis the solvent evaporates and what's left is the rubberized compound.

Ok sa kin 3M kasi aside from good rust protection, the rubberized layer to some extent also helps in sound deadening. Caltex po yata meron. Try buying rin from a paint center then have it applied ng pintor gaya ng payo nong ibang nagpost.
