Naisip ko lang yung thread na ito kasi sa mga nababasa ko sa nangyari sa isuzu trooper and d4d ng toyota(fortuner, innova)....

Kasi di ba yung mga recall na yan eh nainformed talga mga tao....

Pero paano pag may"secret recall" ano dapat gawin?

Kasi di ba dapat pag may recall hindi dapat sini-secret.....

tama dapat hindi sinisecret, kasi yung mga consumers magsusuffer paghindi kagad nalaman.

So far experience ko ok ang Ford with recalls. 2nd owner kami ng E150 pero contact pa rin kami ng Ford para sa recall to replace brake switch.

Back in the late 90s they also replaced the fuel computer on our expedition twice under warranty.

Dito sa pinas hindi nila binobroadcast ang recalls, mindset IMHO nila is it will affect their sales. Parang gagawin na lang nila is to "upgrade" your vehicle kung tatawag man sila. Never ata nilang sinabing merong sirang component.

I really don't mind having 'secret' recalls -- what really bugs me is if they can't or won't fix it ... for free, of course!

A product recall is the worst nightmare a manufacturer can have be it a car, food or any product. This will affect the sales whether it is done secretly or otherwise.
However, the manufacturer has a moral obligation to correct the defective product and he is bound to do it whatever means is best suited.
Dapat lang na lahat ng nailabas nila na may defect ay maiayos.

I can still remember the recalls for a brand of tires used by SUVs. Terrible kasi andami munang naaksidente bago nag product recall.
