    japanese drivers are crazy.When they brought D1 in California everybody wants to drive sideways.NOw americans are trying to copy them but they're no match to jap drifters.

    You could always convert an EVO or STI to rear wheel drive... just weld the front differentials. I saw a video of a RWD STI... wasn't pretty... slide slide slide... bam!

    But the Evo's engine is mounted transversely, so how can you turn it to RWD, which normally has its engine mounted longitudinally?

    As for the STi, the latest versions offer this torque controller wherein you can transfer up to 2/3 of grunt to the rear wheels. But turning it to a pure RWD is more possible, because the engine is mounted lengthwise.

    Wala sa engine yan, it's all in the differentials. The procedure is the same, you make the front differential solid and remove the front drive-axles so that it sends 100% of the torque to the back. I don't know if the rear differential will take all 300 hp, though.

    but there is a RWD GD8 impreza competing da D1GP ah...the orange one, forgot the name.

    As the 2005 season comes to a close, the D1 Grand Prix USA versus Japan All Star Exhibition at the world famous Irwindale House of Drift on Saturday proved to be one for the books. With the best American and Japanese drivers hitting the track at Irwindale, anyone and everyone in attendance was treated with performances they'd be sure to remember. This was the second running of the event. The first time it came to town, it was billed as the ultimate match up of USA vs. Japan. With stellar driving throughout the day, JR. was able to out maneuver the Japanese competition and make his way in to the history books.     kapatid, are you talking about the DCCD? If so, maximum torque to the rear wheels is only 59%, still not enough to be a so called RWD for drifting.

    meron din ata aftermarket na DCCD controller...allows you to put 100% to the rear.

    problema, you'll kill the rear axles kagad so you definitely need to upgrade them. :lol:
