PMC Mini newspaper clipping and leaflet. A fiberglass Mini seemed to be a good idea at that time.

I don't know why the company closed. My guess is there were quality issues because they put reconditioned engines into the Minis. They started with a one-year warranty then later it was down to three months. Maybe PMC should have used brand new engines and raised prices accordingly.
I was able to test drive three units. One was courtesy of Robin Clark, the other two were used cars that were for sale. The cars looked like and drove like Minis. But I didn't buy them.
The fiberglass moulds should still be out there somewhere so that anyone who wants a fiberglass Mini can have one made.
