Yep yun yung Bosch Tropicalized rubber. It eally is suited for our hot climate. Yung sa akin nakawiper stand na ako noon pero nung nagpalit ako ng Bosch tinaggal ko wiperstand to check if the claim is true... after moretahn 1 year na ayun pa rin no skipping!

    501 yung 20" 18"

    502 21" 18"

Di ko sure yung size ng iba.

NWB ung oem ng most car makes.

Wear and tear item naman, eh.

Tridon ata tatak nitong gamit ko. It has survived mud, lahar and 'most anything i have managed to throw at it.

    Jimbob,
I'm not really a fan of expensive auto parts (estudyante pa lang, eh). Tridon ang the best kapag on a budget.

I know my reply will not directly answer the question re PIAA wiper blades. Anyhow, I hope it helps. Here goes.

Instead of immediately changing or replacing wiper blades, I suggest that you focus on the condition of your windshield first.

The basic cause of wiper chatter is a dirty windshield. I'm referring to very tiny particles not easily seen by the naked eye. Maraming cause nito like brake dust, tar, etc. Kahit magpalit ka pa ng mamahaling wipers, most likely, you'll still experience wiper skipping or chatter. The best thing to do is have the windshield polished sa mga pro detailers who use glass polish. Don't use rubbing compound. I highly adviced against this. Masyadong malambot ang windshield (specially the front) at madaling magagasgas ng compound or malalagyan ng haze. Lalong lalabo yung salamin nyo. If you want to do it yourself, go get a tube of Pylon Strip-It sa Concorde. Mahusay syang glass polish. Have to warn you, though, na pag wala kang rotary buffer or random orbit polisher, mejo lalaki ang muscle mo kaka-rub.

After this apply any glass treatment of your choice. Bahalana kayo if it's Rain X or Rain Away or Eagle One. This will help make water sheet off or roll off the glass when driving in rain. Apart from this, malaking tulong sya para ma-prevent ang watermarks sa salamin ng kotse. Some people think that glass treatments ang cause ng chatter. Actually, madumi na yung glass even bafore sila naglagay ng treatment.

Lastly, keep your blades clean.

IMO, even the cheap kinds of wiper blades will do well pag well maintained ang salamin. I guess, matatalo lang sya ng more expensive brands when it comes to durability.

Sorry for the long post.

    kiper,

You have several options. Kung wala namang watermarks ang lahat ng salamin mo, you can have just the front windshield (the rear too, if you have a rear wiper) polished by a shop or pwede namang ikaw na lang. If it's just the front windshield, I suggest, pagawa mo na lang yan sa mga pro detailer kasi mahirap talaga by hand and lalabas na mura lang yan, I assume. It's always best to have at least the windshields (both front and rear) polished twice a year. Aside from this, glass treatment products will bond better sa malinis na salamin and mas matagal ang effectivity nya.

Pwede rin naman, kung never pa napapolish ang glass ng car mo, to have all the windows done na. In between polishes, just maintain it by cleaning regularly with a good automotive glass cleaner like Eagle One 20/20 and regular applications of glass treatment. Application of treatment varies depending on how often you drive your car, how long it is exposed in the rain, quality of treatment product, and how clean your windows and windshield are to begin with.

Lastly, if you're not experiencing any chatter, pwede rin namang diretso na sa glass treatment. Problem nga lang sa wiper chatter, you never know kung kailan sya dadating. The glass treatment will help, pero, yun nga, di mo alam kung gaano katagl na skip free. I guess prudence dictates talaga na polishing would be best prior to application of glass treatment products.

I can't stress enough nga pala na not to use rubbing compound. It's way too agressive and abrasive for automotive windshields. I squirm at the sight of guys around Banawa who peform so called glass polishing using rubbing compounds. Pag na-damage na kasi yan, most likely, no other recourse but to have it repaired sa mga glass specialists.
