    Malamang hindi pa nya nabibili. Baka nakita lang sa mga advert. Hindi naman siguro bibili ng sasakyan tapos di alam paano mag work gear lever

    Another good interpretation of the question. Perhaps, all automatic cars he used are the so called gated shifters as mentioned by *ParticleX.

    It might be that he has been driving manual cars only and so he is not familiar to different configurations of automatic cars. For example, the shifter in BMW is confusing for me the first time.
