Progressive design and enhanced driver appeal for new Saab 9-5 range

Saab has issued the following press release:

The new Saab 9-5 Sedan and SportCombi range, to be revealed at next month's Frankfurt Motor Show, builds on the brand's core values of progressive design and sporty driver involvement by incorporating new styling and improved handling characteristics.

It features all-new front bodywork, with a bold new 'face' inspired by the Saab 9X concept car, and a fresh look inside that includes an updated dashboard and interior trim.

Excellent chassis dynamics have been further refined to give the driver even closer control with faster, more direct responses for sportier handling characteristics. This has been achieved without compromising ride quality and refinement.

Under the hood, the new range also offers a unique triple fuel engine choice. The all-turbo line-up includes a new diesel engine, a Saab BioPower engine that can run on any mixture of ethanol (E85) fuel and gasoline, and increased power for the top-of-the-range Aero model.

Overall, the sportier visual impact of the new 9-5 Sedan and SportCombi is designed to reflect the enhancements under the bodywork, giving Saab's flagship range an even stronger appeal for customers who value modern, progressive design and a rewarding driving experience.

It's okay, though... what's the platform? Don't know if this car can save them, but at least it's still different from the rest.
