I saw this too. It's Altis J. Last year I saw alot of Chevy at Baywalk Rja Sulayman nakapila pa sila para magpakuha ng pictures. I'm sure may kumita nanaman jan. Gobyerno talaga natin.

Were the Toyota police cars in the usual white? Sana man lang black and white like in the US and Thailand para talagang mag mukhang cop car rather than taxi.

In a few months time, dadami na naman junk cars sa PNP garage. Hhhmmmp!

As the old nursery rhyme goes:
(to the tune of Ako ay may lobo)

The Chevy Optra were acquired from Chevy Pampanga. The dealer/owner is said to be a close chum of Mayor Atienza. I think the Optra belongs to the WPD because I always see them parked in rows at their HQ in Un ave.

Perhaps all the police force here should have one or two common branded/make vehicle so that they can get a better deal (volume discounts). For example, all cars from Ilocos to Cebu are nothing but either Altis, Innova or Optra or something else.

In the US, the clear majority of police cars are Ford Crown Victorias, which are also augmented with other type of vehicles.

mas useful pa police mini-cars to scout small/narrow Manila roads and eskinitas. ika nga better chances of catching petty offenders/criminals.

with big time criminals naman with fast cars, mas stealth mode ala 80's KGB pa nga ang kapulisan natin kung manghabol. they always use unmarked cars.

I have bad experience kasi sa mga police. Kaya I really hate them. Sorry talga pero They don't need altis for their cars.

That's the point. We work hard to pay tax for their salaries and yet they don't do their job well. Ok lang kahit mercedes pa police cars basta ok sila.

naiinis ako pag nakikita ko yung tax deductions ko sa payslip ko...biruin mo...parang ilang araw mo sila pinagtrabaho tapos makikita mong wasted ang money naten in buying these cars!!! WTF? our police doesnt need fancy cars like the Altis... what they need is a vehicle that can get the job done and will be fairly reliable as the Altis...kung reliability man ang issue kung bakit nila binili yung Altis. eh dapat nag Vios J na lang sila!!!
