Mini poll : How do you drive ?.

1) When you are driving normally and you see a fast car coming from behind. What do you do ?.
a) Nothing, Ignore the car!.
b) Move over and let him pass.
c) Try to block and not let the guy pass.
d) Let him pass but chase him for a while.

2) When you see an ambulance pass quickly or a police escorted VIP passing with a convoy of chase cars, in a crowded road like EDSA, what do you do ?
a) Nothing, Ignore the car!.
b) Move over and let them pass. Be done with it.
c) Move over and let him pass. Curse the VIP, say nothing to the ambulance.
d) Let them pass but chase them for a while.

1) A. Usually I ignore the vehicle, pag nasa slow lane naman ako at mabilis sya maghintay sya. Minsan I just speed up and leave him behind... otherwise kung sa expressway at may free space sa right (slow lane) lipat ako dun.

2) C. I let the ambulance or VIP pass, pero pag naka wangwang lang at regular plates, manigas sya.

1. b) Move over and let him pass. - while this may sound too good to be true, it is senseless to say, chase or block the other motorist. who knows, could be a racecar driver and give you a brake check.

2. b) Move over and let them pass. Be done with it. - let them pass, its a rule. and besides why chase them? if they are running into a surprise attack, say ambush, and you're close behind you too might get hit.

Pretty good so far!.
If you have driven in the highways of Malaysia, Germany, UK and US. You can see that they have very good "rear view" awareness and move over magically before being intimidated by the fast car!.

Remember: There are times when other drivers have legitimate reasons for going fast. They are the ones taking the risk. So please don't add yourself to that risk. Let it go ... live for another day.
