Guys, kailangan ba talaga magpapalit ng ownership pag naka bili ka ng sasakyan kasi bakit un mga iba naka open deeds of sale un tipo inde sila ng papa change ng ownership?thanks pow sa mga sasagot...

IMO kaya open deed of sale yung iba kasi they intend to sell again the unit para palabasin na 2nd or 3rd owner pa lang yung next buyer or play safe incase may problema sa car ownership. In my case nung bumili kami ng tsikot, pina change owner agad namin.

i guess its more for the sellers piece of mind...so that he knows...his ownership of the vehicle ends when he sells it.

Baka kasi magamit sa mga masama paraan ang sasakyan...after selling it...while you 'technically' still own the car.

^^^ Agree with both comments. Kaya, if I were the seller, I would demand for a signed deed of sale for my copy and peace of mind....

ideally dapat change ownership na kaagad but then pag sa buy and sell ka ok rin lang ang "open" DOS, para lumabas na 2nd owner ka lang...

I would agree with CVT. I usually ask the buyer of my car to sign the deed of sale for my personal copy and have it notarized, so that in case of any eventuality I would present my copy with notarized seal to prove that I sold that car to this person.
