i think it would depend on what mods the SiR has. eh kung todo todo mod or engine swap na yung sir. hindi siguro.

sabagay. you mean SiR versus the 3000gt and the fairlady z 300zx diba?

how about a 1990 toyota supra gt twin turbo 2.0L? anybody who has tried this machine? i have finally decided na ito na ang pipiliin ko. its a v6 DOHC24-valve with twin turbo intercooler. mura pa. ewan ko lang kung gano ka lakas ito. it says it can perform 210 ps and 28kg-N torque. ok na ba yon?

i would take the 300zx/Fairlady Z turbo first, 3000GT VR4 second, and 1990 Supra turbo third.

however, if you upgrade to the 94-98 Supra turbo, then i would pick that over all the other cars (heck, the only Japanese cars i'd pick over the last Supra are the Skyline and the NSX!)

    That would be ideal.

In ideal conditions, these rear-wheel drivers are all 13.5 to 14 second cars... I know modifiers who are running mid 13 passes on full-bodied SiRs, but that's with Type-R engines, and a good amount of modification. Typical street set-ups would be in the 14-15 range.

If you want bragging rights on the drag-strip, you WILL have to modify.

A turbocharged 1992 Nissan Sentra 1.6 (5 psi boost) can do 15secs on the 1/4 mile easy.

    magaan kasi. :D

I have no doubt that hatchbacks and older swapped civics can go pretty fast on B16 engines, but he was asking about SiR bodies, which are about 1200++ kg.

The 92 sentra is about 1100kg or less, right? SR20 (non-turbo) setups supposedly go slightly below 15. :D

Depends on how boosted it is... normally, factory boosted models get about 1-2 seconds faster in the 1/4mile, with a 50hp or more difference.

Pero, past a certain point, it's hard to get a car to go any faster... getting a front wheel drive car, for example, to go below 12 seconds, is difficult, no matter how much juice you have... it then depends on how well set-up the car is.

sabagay... never met one who did better than 12sec.

can an eg6 beat a 1990 supra twin turbo? how well can an eg6 civic do against these three cars? supra, 3000gt and fairlady z?

my friend, wag ka sanang ma-offend ha, but there is more to a car buying decision than comparing quarter-mile/drag-racing times.

think about your day-to-day needs and see which one fits you the best. payong kaibigan lang

ang alam ko ang supra in-line 6, hindi v-6. yung 93-98 twin- urbo model stock top speed is 156 mph. with a simple chip replacement mods lang 190 mph na top speed mo.

may nakita ako sa internet, 97 supra rz, stage-4 turbo, 950 bhp, top speed 245 mph, 0-60 3.0 seconds flat.

my 2nd car was a supra '84. ang saya saya! supra ka na!

I agree with M54, its not only the GO! GO! GO! Everyday needs must be counted on a vehicle.

    yun trip nya e hehehe!

I think shock value hanap nya, hindi daily drive. Is this right Bob? Any of these three cars will be a pain in the pocket. Kung daily drive, I suggest against it except perahps if you literally have money to burn. Pero for shock value, the 3000GT siguro kasi I think wala masyado nyan dito.

Anyway, kahit anong decision mo, post mo naman kung ano nangyari ay saka kung magkano nagastos mo in the end.
