mahal din!
was reading buy & sell. medyo rare kasi yung ragtop beetle. ordinary 1300cc beetles mga 65k or less pero a restored ragtop beetle is like 120k+ according to buy & sell.
if it's not a ragtop beetle, it's not herbie, di ba?
tapos lagyan mo ng subaru EJ20T (2.0L boxer engine with turbo, mas bagay sa beetle) or mazda KL-ZE 2.5L V6 engine

you guys should find a way to retrofit an a/c unit into your herbies. i remember way back in the day when my mom drove an orange beetle...parang mamamatay ka sa init during the summer

medyo alanganin yata lagyan ng A/C ang herbie kasi ragtop siya (as in literally RAG top, not the gentrified miata-style soft top). so just unroll the rag top and feel the breeze... unless you're in manila traffic, in which case, maluluto ka talaga. :P
pero kung hardtop bug, marami namang A/C retrofit. pero di na si herbie yun. i guess you could fake it by having a ragtop pa rin (pero walang butas underneath..)

Methinks the Battle of Carthage scene in Russel Crowe's Gladiator (yr. 2000) is a homage to that...
