as everyone mentioned, sakit tlga ng civic yung rust sa roof. i used to own a civic, so i have experienced this.
regarding baguio, i saw a few esi going up to baguio just this year. and i myself have used my esi to baguio a few times and no problem whatsoever.
just make sure your esi is maintained and you will have no problem going up and down baguio. esi has a nice peppy engine.

How good...?
If youre confident to use it na you know di ka ititirik!
O.T.
For our EG's talagang aging na sila kaya at this time most if not all should have been repainted, so in your case it's normal pero imo prioritize mo muna condition ng engine.
The good thing is kahit lumang modelo na maganda pa ring kalikutin, i.e. change ph/engine, lowering springs, turbo etc. in short pwede-pwede pa ring marestore.

If you want to go to Baguio without any problem, focus on engine and tire condition first before anything else.
As for the roof...we got the same problem with my civic years ago..kalawangin talaga body pero sarap pormahan.

Regarding EG Civic roofs:
If you're interested you can check out the threads on Honda Club Philippines. Emong there offered a relatively cheap remedy to decaying/corroding EG Civic roofs without sacrificing the stiffness of the body.
If the car's roof is in very bad shape, PhP8,000 and a visit to the metal shop they mentioned will help you a lot.
