August 15th, 2006 09:42 PM #3check mo rin yung engine and chassis number, dapat match dun sa OR/CR and walang sign na tampered. Pwede ka rin pumunta sa LTO para malaman kung malinis ang papeles and pwede mo rin don malaman kung naka ilan palit na ng ownership

1. don't buy from stranger
2. buy from someone you know like close friend or relatives
3. buy from a reputable dealer who is selling a certified preowned vehicle
4. buy from a bank usuall reposessed vehicle
5. and before purchasing the vehicle ask for a xerox copies of OR and CR first and have it verified at LTO, Crame...

If you are getting from an agent. Stick with reputable ones. Yung mga matagal na sa business and may mga established venues for selling na. They may sell you a defective or overpriced car pero sigurista ang mga iyan, may nagchecheck ng papers for them. Sa tindi ng competition sa used car biz, they can't afford na masiraan ng pangalan.
As always, bring it to Crame for verification.
