I don't think the Stanza was a flop. Dami ko nakikita sa daan dati.
Naging prize pa yan ng isang major brand ( I think Nestle?) sa promo nila.

For me the one that takes the cake in recent years is the Fuzion - underpowered, butt-ugly, trying hard innova wanna be.
The name change was a big mistake.

Refocusing Your Brand? Proceed with Caution

In 1980, Datsun (owned by Nissan) was a substantial player in the U.S. (and world) automobile market -- neck and neck in the U.S. with Toyota, and well ahead of Honda. Nissan decided to change the Datsun brand to Nissan. Four years and about 300 million dollars later, Nissan had fallen behind Toyota in brand share and was struggling to stay ahead of Honda. Remarkably, as late as 1988, a consumer survey indicated that the Datsun name was still as well known and highly regarded as the Nissan name, although it had not been used for five years...
oops i forgot to mention - Hyundai Grand Starex Limousine and the Toyota Alphard- parang malapit na ring maging flops.
Yung Gray Market na Grand Starex Limousine palaging may bumibili.. Pero yung HARI version FLOP!Same price less features. FAIL
Sa Makati naman dumadami na ang Alphard. Mga 2 na nakikita ko. Dati isa lang.
The Toyota Yaris can be considered a flop. The Toyota Camry sold more considering the Yaris is the cheapest in the Toyota line-up.
How about the nissan patrol royale? prohibitive price - almost equal to land rovers and other premium suvs
i would consider a car flop pag talo siya sa competitor niya
example:
talo ang Yaris sa Jazz
talo RAV4 sa CRV
Suzuki SX4 talo sa... lahat ng ka-class niya
Err...how about FERRARI and MASERATI?
I believe their dealership in Ortigas folded up in less than a year after it opened. Simply too expensive at the "entry level" price of about Php 14Million ++
Also, the RAV4 clone, Cherry Tiggo (tried to sell based on its RAV4 looks alone).
The Nissan Murano (kasi hindi siya "mura", lol)
The Jeep Commander and Wrangler from Chrysler distributor CATS (very rarely see these on the road).
Almost all Opels (Astra, Omega, Vectra).
Someone mentioned the 2010 Nissan Sentra (for a little more, you can get a Camry or an Accord)
Is it fair to call the Toyota PRIUS a flop?
i dont think maserati has failed here. its an exotic car that will only sell to the elite. its still being sold by formula sports (jaguar) at buendia.
for me, daewoo talaga flopped.
How about those Tata pickups sold beside the Proton dealership. I never seen one on the road.
Narinig ko lang na pinaguusapan dito sa office kanina na wala na daw yung Chery cars.
