    I used to have a compact, foam type. Had to give it to my father-in-law.

    By the way, if your ride is a Diesel, is it still necessary to keep one? I mean diesel/oil ain't that combustible as gasoline right?

    It won't explode, supposedly, but diesel can still burn. Also, you can't rule out the possibility of an electrical fire.

    For some automotive fires, a simple extinguisher might not be enough... but it's an added safety cushion that might help you get out safely in case of an emergency.

    i have one too, nakakita kasi ako dati ng nasusunog na vehicle in the middle of the street and parang pinabayaan na lang doon . . . (maybe hindi pa dumating ang fire truck)

    fyi. fire extinguisher may expiration at kailangan palitan every year.
