Imagine... a 2.0L engine in a compact sedan.... whooopeedooo!

I started planning to buy a car about april this year. Initially, 2nd hand sana, considering my ahem [lack of] driving prowess. After a while, I decided what the heck, why not get a brand new one.

then i had to wait for the new excise tax law to be passed, putting my plans on the backburner.

then it was back to decision time once again, 1.3, 1.6, city, vios, jimny, lynx, altis, optra.....

many thanks for your input. because of the specifications i want for my car, medyo mapapamahal yata ako. so i'm moving back my time-frame, to the first quarter of next year. para di naman ako mabaliw sa amortizations ko. (i heard that the honda jazz will be introduced here early next year, kaya patay na naman pag nagkataon!)

as of this moment, my heart is with the RS (kahit ayoko ng manual sana). the altis is 2nd on my list, because it is a safe and reliable car, especially for newbie owners like me (and there's an automatic variant available hahaha).

once i do buy my car, i'll post a pic here in its pristine condition. i am almost sure it won't stay that way long, ang galing ko lang talagang mag drive kasi. hahahaha!

again, please accept my thanks for answering all my questions, no matter how newbie-sounding). i'm sure when i get my car, i'll lurk in the troubleshooting forum naman, and post my silly questions there. sana you'll bear with me pa din

i suggest getting an automatic if that's what you really want.

Which car do you think worth to buy? The 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer, Toyota Corolla Altis, or Nissan Sentra Exalta? My parents will buy a new car but we're all confused of which one to buy... Gusto sana namin Nissan Exalta, maganda lahat saka advanced yung features niya especially the interior eh ang kaso 2001 or 2002 pa yata lumabas ang model na yun, pag yun ang binili namin eh baka maglabas ng bagong model next year or few months from now... may nakita na nga ako sa isang website na bagong model eh... saka totoo ba yung mga rumors na mababa ang ang resale value ng sentra saka kung may recall sa mga dealers yung exalta? Yung Mitsubishi Lancer naman bagong model saka ganda ng porma kaso wala masyadong design yung interior saka yung dashboard lang halos ang maganda. Yung Toyota Altis naman malaki saka para sakin in between siya ng exalta at lancer... ano ba maganda sa 3? Ayaw ko ng Honda Civic kasi pangit interior, masyadong plain at hindi pa leather seats yung top of the line... :confused:

Toyota vote ko. Reliability, elegance, maintainability. It's the best selling car in its class. There must be a reason behind the sales figures...

Honda's a very close second...

If you do decide on the Toyota, I can recommend a very good sales agent from Toyota Bel-Air. He can give you a package no other dealership can match... =) I think...

fyi, Nissan will be introducing a new Sentra mid next year...if i'm not mistaken, it's the Taiwanese Sentra M1.

para walang problema sa maintenance, Toyota ka na lang...

hmm... di ko pa nakikita yung interior ng Ford Lynx Ghia... para sakin vote ko ang Mitsubishi Lancer MX... ewan ko sa parents pero ang sisters ko vote naman nila exalta... nakalimutan ko isali sa poll yung Ford Lynx eh... hehehe... post nyo na lang kung anong 1.6 sedan ang may the best specs para sa inyo... ^_^
