I almost kitted my recently sold ranger raptor with a thai made steel bumper. Im no engineer but I notice theres no “break points” on those bumpers, unlike the bumpers of our IH trucks.
So basically these bumpers could possibly be damage multipliers.
Even those Australian brands, masyadong matigas din.
The airbag-compliant ARBs AFAIK have crush zones, which is why they got a bad reputation as not being as tough as other brands.
The bumper will crush where those folds are.

So some people end up wanting the no-crush zone bumpers because they can take a hit with zero deformation, not thinking that those transmit shock (and damage) directly to their car's frame (and their spine).
