August 11th, 2007 04:57 PM #21those cars shouldn't be auctioned off, as it means it will stay in philippine soil. They shouldn't be here in the first place. But instead of destroying them, it should be sold OUT of the philippines and sent out of the country.

re: re-exporting the units for sale. I think this is a touchy/sensitive issue for these vehicle's receiving gov't/countries. Some countries might view this differently (like dumping or something) esp. if the Phil gov't is the one selling to them directly. The best is, auction it off here and welcome any international buyers willing to partake as well. If an international buyers wins, then s/he can export the vehicle to their home country without involving our gov't at all.
