Very common for bike riders like me along Nlex and Slex. Just make sure that proper safety precautions are observed and it will be very exciting. Doing 220-260kph is also doable depending on your ride. Know of some who did 280-320kph along Nlex and these people are made of steel.

180 km/h indicated speed in a Corolla GLi. I was at 170 when I changed to fifth. I think the car could have made it to 200 flat given enough road.

210 km/h on a Corolla is possible if you have a 20-valve engine. That's also the maximum of the SiR. In the US, they have the Corolla XRS, with a 170 hp 1.8-liter engine, which can do around 220.

Disclaimer: I don't encourage high-speed driving. Don't do it out of sheer guts or pride.

Any body experience to drive 180km/h or more
I've done 142 mph (229 km/hr) on my stock 1991 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo and then 155 mph (249 km/hr) after I had it modified to HKS Stage 4. Both speeds were probably within 5 mph of the limit if not at the limit. I obviously didn't care much for my own well-being when I was single.

But, I've only done it in this kind of terrain in Nevada. In fact, I did one such run in this photo. I had to put on the brakes which wore out the threads and left tire marks more than a mile long. I also had to stay in the middle of the road because the car was starting to yaw and I was dangerously close to losing control. Here, I'm on my way back:

Until I applied the brakes, I was driving with two fingers on the wheel. That's how stable the modded suspension was.

    posted at TR's site:

180kph startoll yesterday around 1800, hana was pretty cool about it till she looked out her window and kinda panicked when she saw how fast things were passing by so had to slow down to 140-160 lest my arm losses consciousness (she was gripping it tightly) - with a mzda3 2R

with the cars of today and a straight highway in good condition, is 180 kph that big a deal these days?

given enough road (usually US I-95 from NY to Florida or the I-5 from north to south california) i've taken a number of vehicles, including a Honda Civic DX and a Chevy minivan up to the equivalent of 180 kph.

also, an interesting thing i noticed - at high speeds speedos seem to be wildly inaccurate. i took my bimmer up against the speed governor (128 mph according to the manual) just to see if i can do it...but the speedo said 139!

you're right, we're just depending on the vehicles, i mean its just easy to floor the gas pedal right? that's one of the reasons why i got into DH racing, 30kph on a 50 deg slope on very rough singletrack trail is scarier than doing high speeds on a stable car
