there was a similar thread in another forum and i'll just repeat my answer...
i've driven both the Ford lynx ghia (2001 model 1.6L) and Civic Vtec (1.6L 1999 model)... hiram lang pareho sa officemates :D and i'd say the ford lynx will outrun the civic anytime. mabilis sa arangkada ang ford lynx -- it lives up to its badge -- lynx -- quickfooted, agile and fast running. so, from dead stop, maiiwanan ang VTEC, although sa top speed, di ko alam kung sino mas matulin sa kanila. I suppose it would depend on the gear ratio, powerwise I think they're just the same-- correct me if i'm wrong.
American cars by nature are like that, they like speed and muscle, just look at their SUV's, ang lalaki ng makina but the downside is... gas guzzlers silang lahat, the ford lynx included. japanese cars on the other hand focus more on fuel efficiency ... di ba yun ang feature ng VTEC? the power only kicks in if you accelerate to a certain RPM.
yung kotse ng lolo ko? eh carabao power nagpapatakbo sa kotse ng lolo ko e, hindi horsepower
