ythe upside is you can adjust your ride height on call, the downside is a terrible ride... very harsh and uncomfortable when used for daily driving.

if i were you, i'd use a good spring and shock combo kung pang daily driving lang. primarily used for track purposes kasi ang coilover kits eh.

thanks for the input bro. im hesitant on getting a lowering spring kasi, am not really sure baka sumabit ako pag akyat sa garahe namen (medyo matarik), and the humps dito sa place namen ang tataas. so atleast pag adjustable coilover, i kud atleast adjust the height kung saan ako dadaan. sa lowering springs kasi, theres no way i could adjust the height, lalo na pag sayad na. a 1.5" drop ng lowering spring is good, pero for a corolla xe with a light 1.3 engine, nakatingala yung stance nya (the front fender gap larger than the rear).

im confused, i dont know what to get, ive been saving up for a good and reliable ride height, i dont want to screw up my suspension and i dont want to get a lowered "tingala" ride. your suggestions and comments are appreciated. thanks guys.

btw, is the adjustable coil-over's ride HARSHER than cut springs?

based on the ride of my friend, YES!

you can lower your ride and have the same front & rear tire-to-fender gap. I had the same problem when I lowered my corolla. I used a couple of rubber "lifters" to adjust the rear ride height to match the front.

ghosthunter, i was thinking of using lifters too para medyo pantay... pero it defeats the purpose of being lowered diba? can i take a look at your car? u have a pic?

ssaloon, yes im quite aware that the front fender gap is usually bigger than the rear. gusto ko sanang look is mas mababa ang harapan.. mas agressive IMO.

sa gli's medyo pantay pa due to their heavier 4afe engine, pero on a lighter 2e engine like the one on XE's and XL's, mas obvious ang tingala.

yung lifters na sinasabi ni ghost can be bought in increments of 0.5" and 1"

i used them on my car before and ok naman ang naging results. mura lang naman yung mga ganon, readily available sa mga auto supply shops.

alam ko r1 coilovers are taiwan made...and are also used for show purposes only..not sure ha...matagtag nga raw as one owner talked to me..nakita ko rin sa shop ng friend ko r1 coilovers na sira-sira yung ngipin...anyways, imo, lowering springs and lifters na lang

mag H&R ka nalang or eibach... european brands tend to retain the OEM ride and are known for a more comfortable ride.

H&R or Eibach ang choice ko sa lowering springs lang. Eibachs installed dito is $300.00.

R1 coilover sleeve types suck. hindi parepareho spring rates nun. Kung gusto nyo talagang ok ride feel get the real deal coilovers not the conversion sleeve type.

Sa totoong coilovers kasama na yung damper nun. Problem is masyado mahal to. Mas ok na lang Branded lowering spring and shock combo.

    R1 coilover=JUNK, imo.
Sira suspension mo if you use this on with your stock shocks

    spazz,
decent springs are your best bet, imho. hindi ka sasayad with a1.5in drop (on most springs). the european brands are just right, they retain the oe comfort. kung namamahalan ka sa h&r and eibach, try jamex (afaik 8k set). sayang pera mo with those r1's its just for show.

on a friend's 95 xl na naka 185/65r14 na oe mags, 2 finger gap ang naiwan front and rear. angat yung front ng konting-konti (mm lang naman). the ride is just right, kahit puno (of course a bit stiffer than stock but comfortable). hindi maselan sa mga ramps and humps. hth bro.

Anything to watch out for a 3" drop? I am thinking of lowering my car mga 2-3". Ok naman road dito so far...alang masyadong humps and alang lubak.

Medyo mahal nga ang H&R and Eibach..pero sa Ebay medyo mura lang naman. Mahal lang pa install $200.

Spring lang ba ang kailangan sa paglower ng car? Hindi na ba papalitan iyong shocks?
