Yup. But it'll take a little negotiation.

You can get almost any of the previous generation Civics for that amount, up to the VTi-S. Not sure if the 2.0 will fit, but then, if you want a fast Civic, the SiR gives more performance for the same price.

I beg to differ, but this is not necessarily true. Whether a car is worn-out or not depends on the owner. A less-driven car with neglected maintenance can be worse than a high-mileage one with regular check-ups and no abuse.

Why not get a Picanto or Getz and financing yung balance. At least brand new, may warranty and matipid sa gas.

SiR 99-00 model... lowball is 350t (pero baka laspag na), highball nowadays is 450 - 550 (mga super-kinis... daw... :hysterical: ).

Corollas? Mga 2001-2002 1.6 MT, baka kasya, pero with negotiation... medyo sobrang mahal ang asking ng mga iba... feeling nila kasi, Toyota, kaya puwedeng mataas ang resale... pero you can get lucky.

City driving? With 350k, like userfriendly says, you can get a big downpayment in on a Getz or Picanto (prefer the Getz, though... more practical), with very low monthly payments (siguro balance mo mga 150-200k nalang, payable in two or three years)... or even a Kia Rio, which has space similar to the older 1.6s, but has a frugal 1.4 liter engine.

Mas sigurado ka pa sa maintenance... since after a year or two of having a secondhand full-sized car, you will probably have to spend for some more repairs (up to 50k, depending on the condition), whereas after a year or two, your new car will still be under warranty.

Oh, by the way, on forum.fordclubph.com, a pass-through poster is selling a City Type Z 1.5 for 330k negotiable. Normally, I'd say that it's way too much money, but it's a late 2001, early 2002 Type Z, and it looks to be in great condition. If you can get him down to 280k, okay na yan... and you'll have lots of change left over. The Type Z is a very simple and bare car, with a small back seat, but it's small, fuel-efficient, very reliable and easy to drive. The rust problem affecting older first-gen City models shouldn't show on this one, as it's only four years old.
