It's noisier than most new diesels. Very rattly. But smooth and powerful.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
Still not decided if i would get this truck,my budget is 900k, test driven this thunder and seems a very good buy. powerful engine, nice chassis, spacious interior, huge bed, and lots of features. my only worry is its durability and aftersales servicing, parts availability and maintenance cost. hope to hear from long time users and the experts on these.
Well, honestly, if I were you I'd risk for the thunder. The truck's really promising. I've heard really good news regarding the engine and its parts. I think Foton is gaining market share these days. They're penetrating the market with a BANG!
I've seen and reviewed it's suspension too. From the looks of it, it's beyond satisfactory for me.
got my red Thunder for a week now, my initial impression: Very good engine, powerful and torquey though a little bit noisy as compared with new diesel engines from ford, hyundai, mitsubishi. very good chassis and suspension which equates to a very good handling characteristics for a pick up truck. powerful brakes and light clutch and a very good transmission (good feel when rowing through gears). good features for the price... best value for money pick up (thanks to Foton Cebu for a very good price) overall its a nice truck just hope that parts and servicing will not be a headache when service time comes...
So far my Thunder is doing great.. got it loaded with relief goods for yolanda victims last November and it performed very well.. power is great.. the only minor problems i encountered were some loose plastics in its cabin... airconditioning is also ok.. Still a value for money pick up truck specially if you can haggle for a bigger discount from your local dealership..
[QUOTE=cktlcmd;2318557]Sir, how about fuel consumption?
average fc posted at 10kms per liter.. combined city and highway drive.. thats with occassional heavy foot on the the accelarator.. with easy driving you can easily get as high 12-14kms per liter.. for me a good fc for a big pick up truck with lots of power..
kumusta po Foton thunder nyo? my father want it na over suzuki apv
sa amianan foton isabela sya sna order natukso sya kasi 799,000 nalang un Foton Thunder B 4x2

Go for Foton timrev; great value for money... mine is still doing great after 16 months.. btw i also own 2 suzuki APVs (2007 & 2013 models) also a good mpv but at 799k i will recommend d thunder... more heavy duty, more power, good fuel consumption..
I hope my reply is not yet late... hehehe.. pls post your review if you bought d Thunder...
own a suzuki apv2 at- kahit kailan di naging sakit ng ulo.
also own a strada, mag strada ka na lang for that price pasok ka na sa glx
kung family hauler go for apv, against comfort sa tbz, montero(non vgt) and fortunner(1st gen)(we own all) eh mas comfy ito ang talo lang sa apv sa riding comfort ay explorer and traverse(we own 2012 exp 2009traverse)
go japan
we actually wanted a big van expert teppe sana or 5008 kaso pricey na pang big mid size and full size suv na price
baka innova din talo apv
oo nga pala 3 years na apv2 namin at odo is 30k and we adhere to the pms sched, at di masyadong gamit brand new pa din ang dating, kaya din siguro di kami binibigyan ng sakit ng ulo.
