it's about 4 year's old, front-left shocks yung may leak. hindi ko naman maramdaman kung sira nga pero sabi sa casa 'must replace' na daw yung apat. medyo mabilis nga yata nasira, kasi yung iba naming cars ok pa naman pero mas matanda pa yun kesa sa lynx.

Is it better to have the original shocks repaired instead of replacement part (non-oem)?

[QUOTE=an0nim0us]Guys, patanong naman san available spare parts for Ford Lynx na mura? Due for replacement kasi shocks ng lynx namin (40K) yung isa nag-u-umpisa na magleak. Price Quotation (labor and parts) = 36k++ (grabe! ang mahal). Alam ko nung nag-papalit ako for an old lancer 8K lang yata eh!

Sa Zafra Motors-Makati along Bautista St., nag-qoute sakin 3.5k isa for the fronts. i think ang laking mura nun! may leak na din kasi ung isa kong shocks.

    I own a LYNX.

The cheapest is in FORDLAND banawe. This is in the OLD banawe area. They can also do the installation there doon sa mga mechanics nila. Cheap and Fast.

2800 a pop front shocks, KYB gas. i was in banawe a few days ago. the rear shocks are marginally cheaper. installation around 300 per shock. note that KYB is the OEM mazda shock (daw). the ford lynx is a mazda 323 anyway so it's all the same banana (iba yung shocks ng lynx sa familia, pero meron yan lahat sa banawe).

KYB supplies shock absorbers to most major Japanese manufacturers. Even the Pajero's remote control shocks are made by KYB.

Not sure if the Lynx RS uses a different shock absorber from the more pedestrian variants.

I'd rather have brand new KYB's than refilled OEM's. But that's just me.

Ouch... sounds like casa prices already!!! I just spent 25k at the casa for mine (front end... damn f***ing DEEP pothole).

Ask for a second opinion... punta ka nalang Fordland.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
