New Photos of the Ka/Figo replacement.
Carros reports that Ford had shipped this test mule in an aircraft (and you can also see the image of the mule on a pallet) for local testing in Brazil. The Ka/Figo successor, which goes by the codename Ford B562, is expected to focus on Brazil before any other international market.

Powering the B562 would be a normally aspirated petrol engine apart from an EcoBoost turbocharged petrol. For markets such as India, expect the B562 to have a diesel power plant in addition to the petrol, displacing under 1.5-liters.

A P500,000+ to P600,000+ Ford sounds interesting. I think there's a possibility for that to be sold in ASEAN markets now that the A-segment is gaining popularity in the region.

That would be interesting, of course being an entry level model, they might offer the 1.4 TDCi in this.

Might (or slightly) affect fiesta sales if considered here both hatch and sedan models

Maybe Ford is preparing for it, notice the base Fiesta Ambinete (P698K) already has a 112PS 1.5 liter engine.

I see some room in the lineup for a slightly smaller model in the P500K to P600K range.
The standard engine is believed to be the 80PS 1.0 liter 3-cylinder engine currently used by the entry-level Fiesta in Europe, this is basically a non-turbo version of the 1.0 EcoBoost engine.

Additional spy photo of the hatchback model:

Even TMP plans to launch the A-segment Agya here to be positioned below the Vios/Yaris. The Agya was designed by Daihatsu and manufactured by Astra Daihatsu in Indonesia.

    a bit off topic,
do you think there's a room for that recent Escort concept, when it comes to production assuming it becomes an asean car?

I'm not sure, there's almost no space left between the Fiesta and Focus. Not unless Ford replaces the 1.6 liter Focus models with New Escorts (The New Escort by the way is said to be a reskinned Mk2 Focus).
Aside from China, we still don't know which other plants will build the new Escort, I guess we'll find out by next year.
I do know Ford is considering selling the New Escort in other markets that might need a similar type of car, my guess... Brazil and Eastern Europe.

    The New Ford Ka Concept

The first images with the Ford Ka concept have been published online, following the car's reveal in Brazil.

There were rumors about the Ka's demise but last month we saw some spy photos with a small Ford prototype and we assumed it was the Ka. It turns out we were right as the Blue Oval company won't kill the Ka after all since they just unveiled a near-production concept in Brazil which previews the next generation set to go on sale next year.

    Agreed!
    Sub-B-segment car that looks upscale.

This would also be the perfect 2nd car/ city car for Ranger/ Everest/ Explorer owners. Lol

Ford recently released 2 sedan variants based on the Ka hatchback.

The Ka Sedan Concept with its full length trunk/boot in Brazil.

The Figo Concept with its shortend trunk/boot in India (designed to be within 4 meters long to qualify for a lower tax bracket)

Ford ph just needs to price this competitively (hoping lower) against the mirage and G4 and they have a winner here
