The Civic 2.0 (currently not available here) will carry over its 155PS 2.0 liter i-VTEC engine and 5-speed AT.

I'm eyeing this car. May I ask how often is Ford's PMS and approximately how much it is per visit? Also, is the 1.6 GDI too or just the 2.0? I'm a little concerned about the carbon build-up problem they're talking about with regard to DI engines.

PMS for the current model is every 10,000km or 6 months, first 10K is usually free.
If I remember correctly, for the old Focus Trend, PMS (including the cost of the replacemnt parts) varied from around P4K+ to over P8K sometimes when a larger set of parts need replacing/ servicing)

Only the 2.0 is GDi, the 1.6 is the same engine in the Fiesta 1.6, but it's tuned to produce more power and more torque (125PS vs 121PS and 159Nm vs 151Nm).

Thanks! I'm eyeing the MT as I've always preferred driving MTs but it's more likely MT will be paired to the 1.6L only. So I should back-read in the Fiesta thread then for feedback. Kamusta naman parts availability/price ng Ford? This will be my first Ford car kung sakali.

There are stores in Banawe like Mazford Parts Center, Fordland etc that sell some euro and lower priced replacemnt thai parts.
Visited Mazford once to buy the rear stabilizer links for our 2006 Focus Trend (rubber cracked), so far that was the only time I needed to go there.
Price was P1,100 for a pair (P550 each) for the Thai replacemnt part (the one I got), and P4K+ for the German set.

Don't worry too much about this though since Ford changed the stabilizer link mount design on the new Mk3 2012 Focus, should be better.

The current soon to be replaced Focus 2.0 Sport AT model is P934K (it was P999K when launched), i'm guessing the new model with more features will probably cost P1M+.
They will most likely offer a lower end hatch Focus in "Trend" trim with a 125PS 1.6 Ti-VCT engine.

^I live up north so those stores might not be that accessible to me. Malayo ba prices compared to casa prices? And say kung strictly casa ako kukuha, readily available ba ang parts? I've only had experience with Honda since my car is a Gen2 CRV and so far I'm satisfied with casa services. Aside from the fact that very rarely does something break down in my car (which is almost 10 years old) when something does, readily available ang replacement part from casa. I'm afraid it might not be like that with Ford.

Ford introduced the 24-Hour Parts Guarantee Program in 2010, here's a link to the article that explains what it covers.

^I also see that 24-hour parts guarantee written in newspapers ads, I just want to know if they do live up to it. It's good kung nasusunod yun, one more reason for me to buy the next Focus.

    UPDATE:
Earlier today, Ford Group Philippines launched its website dedicated to the all-new model. While the page boldly states that the car is "coming soon in 2012," what we do notice is the row of images at the bottom enumerating the kinds of technology the car will get when it reaches our shores. These include Active Park Assist, Active City Stop, Blind Spot Information System, and Torque Vectoring Control.

That some of the aforementioned features used to exclusively belong in the realm of luxury flagship vehicles only a few years ago, shows just how quick technology has evolved to trickle down to mass-manufactured models like the Focus.

For now, MyFord Touch is only available for the North American made models.
Its the Sync System that Ford is making global (for now at least).

Perhaps we'll see the MyFord Touch go global when they refine it further.

I expect the 1.6L version to be priced at around 910k, unless they make it really barebones.

It will probably be priced lower than that, my guess is under P850K for the base Trend 1.6 MT.
    Lets wait and see.
Take note the outgoing Focus Trend 1.8 MT isn't barebones (its got dual airbags, fog lamps, 16 inch wheels) and it starts at P807K.

New tech features like Active Park Assist and Blind Spot Information System for example are reserved for the high-end models.
