April 11th, 2010 12:31 PM #1Hello po mga Sirs.... Can I ask help po regarding my ford lynx 2000.. Recently po, while i was driving, naramdaman kong parang wala ng hatak ung auto ko tapos nagvibrate ung makina...nag-pull over ako then ni-rev ko xa...tapos parang nalulunod...then kahit naka-neutral ako, pag-in-on ko ung aircon and lights..namamatay xa...may malapit na shell so dinala ko xa dun...chineck nila ung spark plugs ok pa naman..tapos nung kinabit ulit..ok na ung auto ko...high tension wire daw...nung umuwi ako, i asked a neighbor mechanic to check on my auto...di daw high tension wire kasi ok naman nung binunot nya..spark plug daw kasi palyado na daw ung isa..so what i did was to change it..ang suggestion nya is to use bosch platinum-iridium..ang dati kong gamit is bosch super 4...after ko magpalit ok nag-ok naman auto ko..den after a day nagganun na naman..nag drop ung rpm tapos ang vibrate ng makina na parang nalulunod, nung binalik ko sa mekaniko..coolant sensor daw...kailangan na daw palitan..mejo in-doubt na ako mga sir...ano kaya prob ng auto ko..any suggestion where i can bring my car para maayos xa..(wag lang po sa casa) thanks so much po...hope you could help me...

i own a 2003 lynx GHIA and have encountered almost the same problem. Akin was bigla na lang namamatay pag-open ng A/C and lights before going to work pero naging OK din siya after a day kaya lang everytime i rev up 3.5krpm (this is while on clutch lang), parang pumupugak naman ung auto ko at parang humina ung hatak.
I had it checked and they said na sira daw ung TCM sa throttle ko so i had it cleaned and changed pero di naayos ung pag-pugak ng auto. Ngaun, "baka" knob sensor (???) naman daw ung reason. Ayaw ko na maniwala kasi parang di nila alam ung problema. What's worst is bumalik ung dating problema ng auto ko whcih was overheating at pagkulo ng coolant.
I'm guessing this has soemthing to do with what they did sa butterfly throttle ko.
Would you have any suggestions or inputs?

May 2nd, 2010 10:36 PM #6I already had my car repaired and the problem is the ignition coil for cylinder 2 and 3 was busted. I had it changed plus tune up and everything was ok. Thanks for the help sirs.

May 16th, 2010 09:17 AM #7I have a 1999 Ford Lynx Ghia, the first batch. So far hindi pa ako nagka problema sa ignition coil. The time na I experience ( similar experience you have ) this kind of failure is brittle na yung hose coming from the engine towards the break/clutch drum (Im not sure if thats what we call it) and replaced the air filter hose since mayroon na cyang tear

May 16th, 2010 09:36 AM #8Since you said that its overheating, check your radiator fans if they are spinning. There should be 2 rad fans. The other should be spinning when A/C is on.
And drain your coolant. Just use regular filtered or distilled water (distilled is best). Coolants have more bubbles on the walls of your engine during operating temps than water so the more bubbles, the less heat is transferred to the coolant. That's why car racers don't use coolants. ( I have researched this using google )
If your rad fans are ok. Check your water pump, it may not be working.

I checked the air filter and hwuahh... its too dirty...
I started the engine without it and there I see the difference...
The engine works well... and then I go to the shop for the new air filter.

April 5th, 2011 02:35 AM #10sir, ang ignition coil po ba at coil pack pareho lang? i have the same problem with my 03 lynx ghia. napalitan na fuel filter, air filter, spark plugs, atf. after some tests, hindi naman daw yung iac. the only thing na tinitignan is yung coil pack. sa casa po eh nasa 9k ito.
