I hope this thread isn't misplaced, but I was told by a shop owner of a known Mazda specialist shop to get the ZL-VE engine he has on stock.
He says it is the engine of the local Lynx (which is basically the last gen of the 323/Protege before being replaced with the 3).
I think the LSi (1300cc) has the EFI version of B3 SOHC while the RS (2000cc) got the FS-DE.
The ZL-VE is 1500 cc with VVT, but doesn't the Lynx GSi model come with a 1600cc?
Just want to confirm this information and probably ask for fuel consumption figures from actual users.
We're swapping it in to a 323 Astina.
