Tama nga... entry level ng Ford ngayon ang Mazda, while pang-comfort-semi-luxury class ang Focus... tapos Volvo naman ang high-end.

I'm satisfied with my Lynx, too... not selling it... and I'll be able to (hopefully) get another one secondhand down the road.

the Lynx existed in our market for 6 years. It was launched in 1999 (I could still remember the advertisment in Mega Mall at that time). The first Lynx resembled the Ford Falcon. Syempre ganda nun. Tapos, after a year an a half, nag facelift, yung chromy grills and updated tail lights. Then after that pinalitan ulit yung grill pero the same rear design. The 2004, they launched the RS.

parts should not be an issue..
the lynx is a 3G mazda 323 after all (and the mazda3 is the 4G mazda 323..)

nagkalat naman ang parts ng 2G na 323 sa banawe, halos kasing-mura ng corolla big body. and the same places carry lynx parts. the lynx shares a LOT of chassis and mechanical components with the 2G 323 (1996-up). the engines are mostly identical except the lynx is distributorless.

remember that the 2G/3G 323 uses a B6/Z6 engine, whilst the mazda3 uses a Z6-MZR. so even mechanically, maraming similarities ang 323 (2G, and 3G == lynx) with the mazda3.

sir, i dont think '03 and up lynx is distributorless, mine is 03 Lsi and i think the distributor is between the boxy air filter and the overhead cam something? I may be wrong.

    thanks.

AFAIK, it's only the RS that is distributorless. It uses the FS-DE engine. The Ghia/GSi uses the Z6 while the LSi uses the Z3, which have distributors.
