Two of the best in Australia. Imagine these two combining in several years. FVW or VWF or VWord FordVagen?

    Rangerok? Aranger?

Maybe expect Best in FC, refinement, features?

    Sounds like Ragnarok. :D

With the next Mazda pickup moving from a Ford architecture to an Isuzu architecture, its the perfect time for VW to jump in. At the end, both carmakers save $$$.

The current Amarok's chassis isn't used by any other model even within VW, so I guess it was only a matter of time before VW formed a joint venture with another carmaker that builds pickups.

It looks like they plan to do the same with commercial vans.

PS: I wonder if GM will partner with another carmaker for its next mid-size pickup.

Looks like the next VW Amarok which will be engineered and built by Ford will basically replace the current Mazda BT-50 as the Ranger's twin.

"Through the alliance, Ford will engineer and build medium-sized pickups for both companies which are expected to go to market as early as 2022. For both parties, Ford intends to engineer and build larger commercial vans for European customers, and Volkswagen intends to develop and build a city van."

Looking at an 08 ranger with a 4.0 automatic with 113k miles on it. Are these motors known to last a long time?
