April 16th, 2011 09:35 AM #1Received this offer from FGC... according to the letter
..."a prepaid maintenance plan aims to protect your vehicle from future price increase on parts and labor up to a 5-year period..."
and then the amounts are broken down.
My question is, what is this exactly?
If a person buys into this, all the PMS every 10,000km are free na for the period purchased?

April 16th, 2011 10:47 AM #4It's a marketing thing by Ford Group Philippines to make sure that you stick to their casa for your car's maintenance. Mazda offers the same thing also.

Its a prepaid deal. Basically you pay now and then service later and they are trying to sell you the idea na you will be protected with inflation. You might be protected with inflation but also you're tied with them and your money sleeps until you finish all those PMS.
Personally I was also offered that when I bought my FoFi. Didn't avail of it!

Better read it carefully. What you think a money saver might be a money pit
