January 24th, 2011 12:54 PM #1Been looking for a thread regarding PMS for the 2009 Ranger pero wala ako makita.
Anyway, I did this kasi I feel my PMS is really getting expensive. My average cost per PMS eh around 7-8k, and that's every 5k kilometers and hindi pa siya synthetic, Shell Remula(?) oil lang nga eh.
My question is, does the price seem right o ako lang nakaka-tangap ng ganito kamahal na PMS? I own a Toyota Hilux and never siya lumalampas ng 7k per PMS and full synthetic oil pa gamit ko.

March 8th, 2011 10:38 AM #2Check your bill if it tallies with the repair order. It is a practice by us, at Ford Edsa, to qoute the bill amount in the repair order prior to commencing any repair. Should there be any additional recommendation, a proper estimate will be made for the customer's approval.

January 29th, 2013 04:30 PM #4Sobrang mahal talaga ang maintenance sa ford..
My ford everest needs to change oil every 3mo/5k and the costs is unreasonable! My next 6mon/10k pms would cost 8k.. I don't even reach 2k km every 3 months. Di naman siguro masisira tong everest ko within 3years which my projected odometer reading is only 20k..
Though we can afford the pms cost but it's not practical.. Parang not worth it ang pagod at pawis natin sa trabaho para sa casa pms.. Just my 2 cents

Ang warranty ko pa naman is 5yrs/150,000km but after 3years which will end next year plano ko ng ilabas sa casa yung Everest because of 1. Not so good experience during PMS 2. parang hinde worth yung every 3months which most of the time hinde naman nakukuha yung 5,000km. Can afford naman ang PMS kaso nasasayangan ako. I might do 6 months or 5,000KM whichever comes first pag nilabas ko sa casa.

*sir isotopes. 2 years na pala eve mo sir. Akin mag 6 months pa lang.. Parang hindi ko na dadalhin sa casa yung eve ko for pms kasi in the long run makakatipi din ako kung may masisira man eh hindi na ako aasa sa warranty na yan babayaran ko na lang..
Say average php 10k(kasi umaabot ng 20k yung ibang pms) per pms
Libre naman first 3mo/5k kms
So in three years:
36months/3mo per pms= 12pms - 1(free)= 11pms
11pms x php10k/pms = php110,000.00
6pms x 7kphp/pms= 42k php
Difference of 68k php
Hehe.

Sheesh medyo matindi pala maintenance ng Ford. Pano kaya magiging PMS costs nung bagong Focus. Parang trip ko kasi yung sedan version.

January 29th, 2013 10:04 PM #9Mahal din siguro sir. Lalo na pag tdci.. Pero try to read muna about sa focus pms sa fordclubph forum.. Helpful mga tao dun.
I really don't understand why they don't follow the 6mo/10k kms pms sa booklet. Which i don't think it is. Proven na talaga eh built ford though.

Sobrang mahal naman kapag 20k/PMS na. Average ng sakin is around 7k semi synthetic oil kung full synthetic it's around 10k, same rin yung life span pag full synthetic.
If you look at Thailand PMS it's 5,000km or 6months, at least yun ang na download ko.
Choice I would have made as well.
