April 14th, 2008 08:02 AM #1Hi All:
Good day!
I have a 2003 ford lynx ghia MT which i brought last year. I was hoping to convert it to an AT as my wifey doesnt know how to/like to drive an MT.
1. Is this doable?
2. How much can i expect to shell out?
3. Is it worth converting to an AT (consumption-wise/maintenance wise) in the long run?
4. Where can i get this done, aside from a casa?
Thanks to all. God bless.

IMO it will cost a lot and require a lot of work, trade/swap could be better. let's wait for others' comments.

April 14th, 2008 10:08 AM #3virtually your idea is doable... but it is not recommended due to the costs you will incure during the conversion.. also the parts may not be available like the automatic transmission controller, harnessing, flywheel etc..
it is recommended that you trade/swap your car to A/T vehicle.. it is easier.. even if you add a little cash.. get the same year model or higher if possible any brand will do
