do you know where that is exactly and what's the procedure?
maghanap ho kayo ng thread dito sa tsikot.com tungkol sa hondang green nawawala..me no. ng TMG don..baka carnap mabili mo big, big, big trouble...
Punta ka na lang sa PNP Domestic Airport. You can ask for PNP CLearance for the car you are buying, they will stencil both the Body and chassis number and compared it to the carnapped vehicles. After then you can have a peace of mind. Anyway, it is a pre-requisite for Transfer of Ownership sa LTO and you already have one step less. Mas mabuti di mo pa bayad kesa bayad mo na and you found the problem later on during change of ownership.
If you have the original dealer provided warranty booklet and manuals. I think you will have a peace of mindAnd if the seller can give you the receipts of when and where he had the car serviced it will give you more or less if the car is well maintained or not

anyone know where specifically in banawe can i get suspension parts (replacement) for lynx?
thanks
Fordland, Autorama and Chandlers. They sell Mazda and Ford OEM and replacement parts.
i have a friend who has a 2002 lynx ghia. after about 6 months, he started having problems with the rear suspension (kalampag). don't know if ford lynx in general have weak suspensions. i also got the chance to drive his car and it felt "thin", meaning road noise is very audible inside and road bumps can easily be heard and felt. in short, comfort was not that good as compared to my 5 year old civic SiR which was quieter and more solid.
my brothers Lynx feels much more solid than my Civic ESi so what gives? i don't think its because of the double wishbone of the SiR. The Corolla's have MacPherson strut front suspension but they do absorb alot more road bumps better than my car. i can suspect that car wasn't taken good care of. probably he got excited about the car's great handling that started tossing it around even in huge potholes. :D. Ford Lynx is the most understated car in the PH. Its a great value IMO, next to Mazda3.Originally Posted by wac3

Had the chance to drive a Ford Lynx LSI 1.3L from Bulacan to Tagaytay and back last weekend.
Initial impressions... the base model looks good from outside. The steel rims are covered with nice looking hubcaps which made it look like regular rims. The projector lights are nice and the chrome touches are liveable. Inside, the ergonomics are good and the visibility is good for a sedan.
I was thinking that the 1.3L would be a slouch - but I was wrong. Along the NLEX and SLEX - keeping the tacho midway will help you ease in with the highway crowd. Planning to overtake? Just downshift and it'll be enough. The punch isn't there but it'll get things done.
Now comes Tagaytay... the lead car is a Honda City 1.3L which is being driven hard by one of our executives (like overtaking on hils and curves). I said to myself that this'll undo the Lynx - but I was wrong again. I was able to keep up to pace with the lead car without ever resorting to dangerous overtaking (on those yellow lines). Though I had to make use of the high rpms to overtake confidently. When the open roads came, 100kph along Tagaytay is a breeze and the chassis can really handle it. The brakes are very good too - felt solid and not mushy unlike some Japan sedans.
Road noise was tolerable (though quieter to my daily drive). The projector lights also functions great.
Overall, this is a very decent car for its price.

The lynx feels like a typical japanese econocar (except the honda). The suspension feels like my lancer, yung once in a while kailangan mo palitan bushings or tie rod end or some links para mawala ang kalampag. Pero madali at mura lang palitan so ok lang. Honda suspension (at least the double wishbone front and back models) feels a lot lot more solid, but the car in general is more expensive to maintain. In my opinion, it evens things out.
my $0.02
The Lynx doesn't have a weak suspension, but it can get noisy... the older/lower end lynxes don't have as much sound suppression as a Civic. Your 5 year old SiR is really a solid car, but the better bump supression should also be credited to older springs. :p The lynx has less bump suppression than some others, but makes up for it with good handling.Originally posted by wac3

The 1.3 is pretty light for a modern car, and if the Honda 1.3 in question is the new model, they're almost exactly the same weight. The Lynx definitely has a sportier suspension and better handling.Originally posted by mazdamazda

Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
I've been looking for second hand car. After a month of searching, I was able to scavenge for a car that fits my tight budget and my taste.
It's a ford lynx ghia 2000.
I texted my friend and asked his opinion about the car. He said "alam mo ba kung gano kahirap kumuha ng parts nyan? Tsaka malakas sa gas yan...."
How true is this?
Kaya ba mababa ang re-sale value nito compared to other cars of the same year-model?
Thanks.
di naman ganung kahirap kumuha ng parts nyan. if i may ask magkano ba budget mo?
I was able to haggle the price down to 260k. 10k higher than my original budget. Kaya mangungutang pa ko sa ermats ko.Originally Posted by happy_gilmore
