That is an insult to modern ref design lol.
I would sooner drive a refrigerator than a Vios anyday
At least when you drive a ref you look interesting.

OT: I've never seen a ref which looks like a Vios. War yan with VCP members. Marami sila. Not to mention the taxi drivers with the hoods open.

Para sa akin classic ref design is still the Suzuki APV...

Hehehe don't take these too seriously pero I do really mean it that the Vios is boring to drive... Dyan seryoso ako, especially compared to the Fiesta's lively handling...

Just around 10km/L for a car of this size? Americans neeeeeveeeer learn . I was planning to get this car for my wife but seeing the numbers right now, I guess I have to look some place else.

^^Where are you gonna look? Honda halos ganun lang din (more or less depende sa situation)... Toyota? My Yaris get 13km/L yeah its better pero do really want one? Mazda 2? Hmmm... maybe slightly better pero it lacks a lot of "civilities" of a Fiesta... You could get an Alto and you might get better FC but a Fiesta vs an Alto?? Or you could get a motorbike, 50km/L wag nga lang umulan!

Malabo ang ECOnetic dito IMO... A regular diesel perhaps pero yung ECOnetic malabo talaga given our crappy diesel... Pero grabe yung ECOnetic na yun 76.3MPG in the UK that is 32.44km/L!!!!!
I think Imperial Gallon yata computation nung 76.3 MPG sa UK. When converted to US Gallon mas mababa konti FC, Nonetheless, super efficient talaga Fiesta with econetic diesel engine.

If the Fiesta eventually matches the Vios's reliability and parts availability, bibilib na talaga ako sa Fiesta mo tidus.

Ay Vios driver ka nga pala, as I said don't get hurt too much on what I say... I might talk like that, pero I am a nice guy hehehe!

Pero I will still take a Fiesta over a Vios (I have a Yaris which is a hatchback version of the Vios or Yaris sedan) so I think I know where I am coming from when I say that...

If it's just FC you're after, I'd suggest getting a Hyundai Accent(20+ km/L), since 10km/L city driving is probably the norm with all the gasoline subcompact cars in the market.

If we are talking about the old Accent matipid yes pero super bare talaga... The only safety feature it has is a seatbelt and that's it... You could wait for the new Accent I heard meron din daw CRDi yun, pero the price will be the hit or miss that we will all be waiting for and of course the specs...

I see, my mistake, I guess only the Hybrid Civic that I was driving in the States had the CVT.

Just to keep you planted on the ground, ...

My 1999 Toyota Corolla GLi 1.6L A/T achieved a fuel mileage of 13.5 km/L with nearly all highway driving at speeds between 100 to 120 kph on the NLEX/SCTEX.

By the way I was checking motioncars.com, was looking at the weight of the Corolla lovelife. Wow its just 1060kg for the AT, our Fiesta is even heavier at 1135kg... Grabe talaga modern cars they just get heavier and heavier as we demand more things from our car like safety and civility...

Well, we all expect to have some improvements in fuel economy especially if the cars mentioned (my Corolla & the Fiesta) have over ten years between them, not to mention the dual-clutch tranny of the fiesta versus the traditional automatic of my corolla.

looking at everybody numbers, it looks like at < 5000 kms:

    City: 8-10km/li
    HIghyway: 13-14km /li

let's see how much this improves over the next few months
