meron ba LSD ang local expedition, sa ford website di namention. pero sa motion cars meron daw lsd. paano ba malaman kung meron except ijack yung car?

Place the whole vehicle in a lifter that mounts on vehicle's chassis. Place in drive while engine is running. Try to prevent one rear wheel from turning by any metal or rubber object from the tires. If LSD is in place, tires should not come to a halt and still continue spinning the the same direction for both tires.

An easier way to check if your diffs are equipt with LSD mechanism is to check the diff housing for any warning label with regards to the oil used.

According to my friend who owns most of the cars being compared here, eto ang comparison niya sa ride n comfort from the worst to best -- Safari 2003, Trooper 02, Expedition 03 and the best daw is the Tahoe 02.
Yung Old Expedition daw and the new one almost same lang daw, very minimal lang difference sa mileage and ride comfort.

hinanap ko yung warning di ko makita. pag 4 wheeel independent suspension di ko na alam saan yung diff housing. wala yung bilog sa gitna between the 2 wheels. meron pa po ba simpler way malaman?

Lahat po ng Expedition is equipped with LSD kung 03 po ang sainyo mahirap po masilip ang Diff carrier dahil covered po sya ng crossmember

Your diffs will still have oils in it, look for the drain or filler plug. A warning label should be near those plugs.

yup, mas comfortable ang trooper kesa patrol. pero malakas ang body roll ng trooper, kakatakot mag overtake at high speeds.

I've been reading threads of the expe in the US and seems lots of problem sa LS after 3K to 6K mileage.

kaya for 2004 models ng expe sa US inalis na yun LS as standard ginawang optional na due to the problems they have.

2nd quarter this year lalabas na dito yun EDDIE BAUER with 5.4L engine.

yung 2003 Expedition Eddie Bauer ng dad ko mga 3km/l ang average FC nya sa city driving tapos mga 9km/l na pinaka tipid nya kasi 5.4L V8 ang makina nya..

sa pinagpipilian mo Expedition ang vote ko..

sir for me halos parepareho lang fc ng mga type mong sasakyan. . .para masa maganda consumption mo get the 4x2 model. . .tas keep the engine, filters, etc. in good condition, good driving habits. . .these will help

Why don't you just get a 7-seater BMW X5 3.0d? Faster (255kmh ecu-locked speed), being a crdi-turbo matipid and siempre, German. ^_^

Don't get me wrong, I like the ride of Expe but the gas consumption (even for the elite people) is just horrible. Between it and Tahoe, I like Tahoe better. ganda rin ng ride nito. Tested one with remote start. cool din pala yun pero novelty lang.

Thanks sa mga reply guys. ang budget ko kasi mga 800k to 1.5M na car. BMW X5 is one of my choices but i guess its 3M right? by the way yung car na hinahanap ko yung maporma pero nag aaverage ng 6km/L and up. kahit parang FORTUNER yung datingan kasi maporma and umaabot lang sya ng 7km to 8.5km/L. any suggestion guys? The differential of the Expedition is still in the same place (between the two rear wheels). It will not go anywhere.
