Just got this 2002 exped with 59k mileage from my cousin 3 weeks back. I saw it in his garage in good running condition so when he offered it to me at 600k, I immediately said yes and paid him there and there. I regreted my spur of the moment action 'cause when I checked around, the ongoing selling price for such model is only 450k. Bad luck for me.

Well, I am generally happy with the SUV condition and its a joy to drive around the city on weekends (only) due to high fuel consumption (about 6-7 km/liter so far). The a/c stopped cooling the other week so I brought it to Frigid Zone Kamias where they topped up the freon but said that a/c needs cleaning which could take a full day. It's still cooling now so didn't go back yet to that shop.

I've read in this thread lot's of problems pertaining to suspension and rip-off by Ford service centers. For my other cars, I only patronize the dealer for warranty reason but since this exped is not new anyway, not to mention the restrictive cost in maintenance, i'm a bit cost concious now. Could anybody please recommend a good, honest service center/repair shop where I can buy original parts and avail of service at reasonable prices.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi! Does anyone know where to buy 02 expedition headlights (crystal lens with orange line corner lights)? super mahal kasi sa casa. 2nd hand or brand new ok lang.

    PROMDIBOY,

Go with a van na lang. Yung Starex 4X4 mas pwede pang ipang-off road kaysa sa Expedition. Hehehe. Naisip ko lang bigla. Pero seriously mag-van ka na nga lang. Designed for space sila hindi katulad ng mga SUV's na compromised ang design kasi they have to have some semblance of off-roadability (even the 4X2 models).

    Just my 2 cents.

    Boy2,

Sa father ko yung Exped. 4X2 lang yun. Pang-japorms niya. Naka-DVD player, billet grille, SPORT badging, rear spoiler, etc. The works yun. Hehehe. Pati upuan ginawang leather tapos wood panelling.

Sarap sakyan nun dahil air suspension. Sarap pa i-drive kahit once lang pinagamit. Pero sa Pajero na lang ako. At least yung Pajero sa kahit ano pwede mong daanan, eh. Hindi ka manghihinayang dahil protected ang underbody.

    PROMDIBOY,

i'd expect typical city fuel economy at 2.9-4.3 km/L depending on traffic conditions. sobrang takaw niyan (compare that to an ordinary 1.6L sedan that gets 7-9 km/L in the same conditions and an ordinary 2.0L sedan that gets 5.5-7+ km/L).

wala ka masyadong choices sa 8 passenger vehicles that's as deluxe as the Exped (except the even more audacious Suburban), so if you need the space, it would be worth it, imo... kung occasional use lang or for long trips.

a more practical choice for 7-passenger hauling would be a minivan like the Chrysler Town & Country (1.9M, arguably flashier, more comfortable, and more spacious than an Exped)... hindi ko na babanggitin yung mga cheaper minivans since the Exped is at 2+ million bucks.

    Hero,

paki-compare lang ng parking sa Rockwell, as against Megamall and Galleria.

We used to have a 99 Limited Edition Expedition but traded it in to get a Mark III.

That old one had Hydrolics on it which was pretty good. Although I feel that the new
independent suspension of the 2k3 expe gives it a more refined feel. Bumps and potholes are virtually unfelt.
Recently we got a 2003 Expedition White. The price then was still around the 1.9 Million mark Php. But now, I heard from our sales agent that the price in the Philippines is now 2M++ Php.

Here sa states mas mura Expedition eh (no thanks to that new Taxing scheme in the P.I.) It's not really a status symbol. Unang tingin ko, kala ko expedition, di pala. Outer body is practically the same, even the dubs. The backup sensor and the little computer on the dash (tells you how many km/miles you have left till Empty is very helpful.)

    sir hero: red color

sir nightrock: di ko pa natry magpagas, kaya di ko panafeel yung gas. full tank dinala. sabi sa message center sa instrument panel 28.8 liters/100kms. and 705 kms distance to empty.

    sir ungas: walang problema,
