sir hero
bakit ka galit sa expedition?
sir mbt
no special purpose naman, compared to other suv's pinakamaluwag na siya kasi 8 kami sa family. worth it ba yung lakas niya sa gas for it's roominess? wala talaga ako idea kung gaano katakaw yung expe.

PROMDIBOY, as what jay crew said, downside lang ng exped, and with other american SUVs, is the fuel consumption. kasi all the japanese SUVs being sold locally are equipped with diesel fed engines. hindi pa po ako nakakasakay ng expedition in motion (pero nakasakay na ako ng exped na nakadisplay sa dealer :mrgreen kaya i can't comment anything about its ride and handling. pero ang sabi ng mga kakilala kong may exped or nakasakay na ng exped, sobrang sarap daw sakyan, sobrang ok daw ng suspension. sa looks naman, talagang wala na akong masabi, especially yung new exped, lalo na yung red!
kung ok lang sayo ang malagripong fuel consumption ng exped, make this your first choice. actually, maganda na ang price nito at around P2M. yung toyota LC100 costs almostSignature

March 9th, 2003 11:37 PM #15expe goes around 3.5km-4km/liter , mas malakas pa f-150 3km/liter lang, nakasakay na ako ng expe, damn, the ride is sooooo smooth! it feels like your floating, it eats up any imaginable potholes., dati there was one street near our area, it is loaded with potholes, e sentra lang car ko so ramdam lahat ng lubak, yung expe dinaan dun , ngek, parang walang nangyari:lol: , and another thing expe size is very intimidating, takaw sa mata... downside is it's car is gas guzzler, hard to maintain, hard to park etc..., full tank yata 150 liters, so kun ang gas ngayon 20 php per liter x 150 liters = $$$$$,:mrgreen::mrgreen:, the verdict is, if your rich and can afford the gas bills and maintenance then go for it, it's one of the best car that money can buy, but kun tama tama lang ang budget, just go for more cheaper practical car/vans like crv, rav4, sedona, venture, starex etc... , think of it , you can buy 2 cars for just one expe...

PROMDIBOY,
Bakit ka magtiya-tiyaga sa SUV kung hauling pala ang purpose mo. Go with a van na lang. Yung Starex 4X4 mas pwede pang ipang-off road kaysa sa Expedition. Hehehe. Naisip ko lang bigla. Pero seriously mag-van ka na nga lang. Designed for space sila hindi katulad ng mga SUV's na compromised ang design kasi they have to have some semblance of off-roadability (even the 4X2 models).
Just my 2 cents.
Boy2,
Sa father ko yung Exped. 4X2 lang yun. Pang-japorms niya. Naka-DVD player, billet grille, SPORT badging, rear spoiler, etc. The works yun. Hehehe. Pati upuan ginawang leather tapos wood panelling. Siyempre, mawawala ba naman ang first aid kit at fire extinguisher sa mga sasakyan namin?
Sarap sakyan nun dahil air suspension. Sarap pa i-drive kahit once lang pinagamit. Pero sa Pajero na lang ako. At least yung Pajero sa kahit ano pwede mong daanan, eh. Hindi ka manghihinayang dahil protected ang underbody.

PROMDIBOY,
si Hero kasi dapat bibili ng 2003 Exped dati, kasi di natuloy kaya siya... bitter
i'd expect typical city fuel economy at 2.9-4.3 km/L depending on traffic conditions. sobrang takaw niyan (compare that to an ordinary 1.6L sedan that gets 7-9 km/L in the same conditions and an ordinary 2.0L sedan that gets 5.5-7+ km/L).
wala ka masyadong choices sa 8 passenger vehicles that's as deluxe as the Exped (except the even more audacious Suburban), so if you need the space, it would be worth it, imo... kung occasional use lang or for long trips.
a more practical choice for 7-passenger hauling would be a minivan like the Chrysler Town & Country (1.9M, arguably flashier, more comfortable, and more spacious than an Exped)... hindi ko na babanggitin yung mga cheaper minivans since the Exped is at 2+ million bucks.

mbt,
mismo ka mismo...sniff...e kasi ang ingay ingay ninyo e congratulate kayo ng congratulate on my new car...sniff...ayan naudloooot....e biglang may emergency unti unting lumiit yung budget kooo.....waaaahhh!
maganda talaga yung old and new exped pero di ko lang sure yung bago dahil wala pang feedback although may nagsabi mas matigas daw itong bago..yung lang malakas talaga yan sa gas..at medyo mahirap i park..ang kitid pa naman ng mga paradahan dito..try rockwell....kung marami kayong sasakay..try the e150..da best din ride nun for a van..malakas din sa gas..mas maraming makakasakay..you can get the best deal on 2nd hand exped or e150 dami kasing bumili at nalula kaya binenta slightly used pa...pero kung porma porma at may pera ka pumikit ka na at bumili ka na ng 03 expedition ngayon!....green maganda for me..dont forget to write back about it...ehehehe

March 11th, 2003 10:30 AM #20Hero,
paki-compare lang ng parking sa Rockwell, as against Megamall and Galleria. Most often, may nakikita akong naka park sa Megamall na mga E150 van.
Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
