Seems kinda thirsty now... used to do around 6+ to 7 in the city (even reached 8 if i didnt get into much traffic during the week) and 9 on the highway. The 9+km/L highway driving was with overtaking, flat out runs on those really good roads on the Pangasinan-Zambales route and climbing up Kennon.

In stop-and-go, short distance traffic it really eats up fuel as the engine doesnt reach it's optimal operating temps and diesels are more sensitive to operating temperature more then gas engines when it comes to efficiency.

In contrast, my officemate is reporting around 9+ on their new 4X2 Eve a/t (San Mateo to Makati during the weekdays).

    vinj,
since i got my eve from you parang tumakaw siya. I tried mobil 1, shell helix diesel and shell rimula x oils and still the same fuel consumption, although on mobil 1 I get 5km to a liter and the shell oils vary from 4 -4.5km/ltr. Maybe the really short distance I travel is affecting my fuel consump. I only average about 2-3kms a day travel.
