sa mga gurus here's !! mine 2009 everest,, problem around early 2011 nasira yun actuator/ yun switch pang open ng gas tank ( sa gas tank mismo not the switch inside the cabin ) ,, luckily for me under warranty,, but just last week ( warranty expired aug. 8 2012) nasira nanaman. I presume or i might say i therefore conclude that its a factory defect. I call ford and the said parts will cost me P16,000. any DIY repair??? Anyone experienced it?? TIA!!

Tol, bili ka door actuator, less than 1k lang magagastos mo diyan, makikita mo yan doon sa meh tool and jac compartment... Hugutin mo yung pin ng gas cover then ikhabit mo any wire o alambre or metal to the door actuator na ididikit mo sa plastic molding para yung actuator na ang hahatak pag nag press ka... Tapos kabit mo na lang wires.. 2 pieces lang naman yung wires, hindi ka magkakamali diyan... I'll take pictures para ma visualize mo mas maige... Muntik din ako mahimatay sa quote ng casa na 16k... Usually ang source ng pagkasira ng motor ng gas tank ay pag matagal naka press, nasususnog yung windings nung motor.. Pag press tangalin agad yung kamay, hehehe..

Better look for some alternative like searching from other source bec 16000 is too much'

meh steering play talaga lahat sir ng vehicle.. pero within factory specs po yan...
sa gen 1 kasi (which i own) meron po naka specify sa technical manual, i also have the factory manual with diagrams... nothing to worry unless na super delayed na ang galaw ng steering...

400 sa nitrile rubber sheet... 4feet by 3 feet sukat sakto sa hood...

hindi siya matutunaw... rated at continuous exposure at 120 degrees Celsius...

" i tried to burn a piece of it by deliberately putting it into an open flame, it didn't catch fire nor did it melt...!" napabilib nga ako eh... i didn't know it was that good...

i touched the hood after driving, walang kainit-init... ang gandang insulation, even better than OEM's na mas mahal...

25k PMS is due, 11k ang quote sakin ng Casa, I'm thinking sa labas na ipagawa also kailangan narin palitan ang damper caps dahil maingay na. Any suggestions?

Wala ka naman masyado i-alter na parts except for the motor itself, the device that pulls your gas tank cover from the inside... Kung kaya mu gumawa ng motor nung solenoid at i-rewire yung loob ng stator at magnet then do it.... Kasi kung sira na yung motor mo for that solenoid, at ayaw mung mura na option then by all means punta ka sa casa at shell out ka 15k plus for that little motor... I don't think that being practical in terms of not going the casa way is chopsuey, walang ford logo yung motor na yan, at hindi din gumagawa ang ford mismo ng electric motors. Nasa loob naman yung motor na yun at wala makakita nun unless silipan talaga... I will never pay 16k for a tiny,regular motor like that,, silipin mo sa loob and you will see how simple it is to remedy.

nakita ko na yun motor since its been twice na nasira. Yung solution sana is 1. kung meron sanang shop/store na nagbebenta na mura ( ex. read here mazford thunder selling 70% off casa price mga consumables ) 2. repair shop namarunong mag rerewind or using the same motor housing baka pwedeng palitan yun loob at least orig pa din yun housing swak pa din sa paglalagyan.

Mga Tsikooters, itatanong ko lang sa inyo kung saan nakakabili ng transfer case motor encoder. Yun akin kasing 2007 everest ay di nawawala yung 4L sa indicator panel. Pina check ko sa kasa di nila malaman ang sakit kung saan. Nung pina check ko dito sa isang repair shop sa Alabang, na detect nila sa yun nga ang meron sira. Di na daw gumagana ang motor. Dati nililinis nila gumagana ng ilang months lang, then di na naman gagana. I asked this shop where to buy this motor pero ang kanila target bilhan ay sa casa din ng Ford. Just asking you guys if you have encountered similar problem before. Salamat

you can try calling mazford if they have the motor...
as for the re-wiring aspect of the motor, i doubt if it can be done lalo na if the motor stopped already, pero wala naman mawawala if subukan mo dalin sa electrician or electrical repair shops na nag rerewire..

Thanks for the tip Miko, tatawagan ko agad mazford pag-uwi ko. This encoder motor is so small na palagay ko naman ay di mahal dyan sa atin. Meron akong nakita sa internet, mura lang sya sa US, less than 100bucks, kaya lang wala specific sa everest. Nakita ko para sa ranger, supposed to be same para sa everest kaya lang up to year 2005 lang meron sila.

luianna12, nangyari kasi sa everest ko ay naabuso ko hehehe... umaatras kasi ako sa garage ko eh naka 4x4 maganda nga naman traction, palibhasa medyo inclined garage ko at naka tiles medyo rough pero madulas pa din pag basa. One day ay napansin ko ayaw nyang umatras, pinilit ko! hayun at lumagatok sa baba... grabe, mula noon ay yun na ang sakit, naglabasan na mga error signals sa panel. Pero tumatakbo pa din sya, one day itinirik si misis ko buti na lang at sa lugar lang namin. Pina check ko sa casa, sa ford cavite, findings nila may nasira daw transmission. Ni open nila, yun nga at nabungi pala ang gear, yun pala yung lumagatok. I asked the lead technician, how much would i shell out for such repair. Sabi ba naman ay di daw bababa ng 200K and repair would take more than 2 months kasi kukuha pa sila parts sa thailand. After couple of weeks sa casa, i decided to pull the car out, called up the father & son tandem (Bulaongs) in Banawe & they themselves put my car on top of their rented "lorry" at dinala nila sa repair /"junk" shop nila hehe...
But the good thing is that they were able to repair the gears of the transmission, as if nothing happened, except that my damage in pesos totaled 45K plus other miscellaneous expenses. Then naging ok sya for over a year after that repair, now na lang nasira itong encoder motor. Anyway yan ang story ko. Sorry guys mahaba....

Sir, just have the same problem, tinangal na lang muna namin yun 4x4 module para di na muna maglight yun 4L, saan ba sir maganda magpacheck nito? thanks. BTW if your problem is the module, may extra ako just in case.

Yung sinasabi mo bang 4x4 module, ito ba yung parang pair of long rods sa baba na acts as shifter? Natatawa nga ako sa father na Bulaong kasi mahusay talaga sya sa repairs ng transmission. Recommended din sila ng mga tsikoters kaya ko sila natunton sa Banawe. Ano ba yang case mo, same din ba sa case ko? Dinala mo na ba yan sa casa? If I were you, dadalhin ko na lang yan sa mag-amang Bulaong kesa gumastos ng malaki sa casa.
Pag napalitan ko na ng encoder motor itong akin, i am sure same as new ulit ito hehe...
