guys ask ko lang. Im helping out a cousin who wants to buy a 2010 ford everest 2.5 AT, bibilhin nya ito sa car dealer in mkti. Sabi nya price very good to be true, baka may haw-shaw sa sasakyan. 10k mileage, full DVD package "ICE", nasa 1.050M and benta. Tanung ko lang kung may kilala kayong magaling na mechanic na marunong tumingin ng mga defects, floods, acidents etc. lata Las pinas po ako. thanks mga sirs.

Advisable ba ang eve pag daily driving lang sa office and work ? Highway naman palagi daan ko ? hindi ba malakas sa gas, matagatag kasi ako lang mag isa palagi. And ask ko lang din, prone to "smoke belching" ba ang eve due to factory defects. sobra maalaga naman ako sa sasakyan pero ngayon lang ako susubok ng deisel baka mas mausok pala ito then from what i was expecting.

^as long as properly maintained ang unit di sya magiging mausok at mas maganda ang consumption nito lets say 8km/l city driving (also depends on your right foot). 40k kms na eve ko, naka ilang round trip na din to sa EDSA (im from laguna) and so far wala pa ko nagiging problema sa suspension side of things ng sasakyan.

kung di mo kaya ang harsh ride, you can always upgrade the shocks (OME or Procomp).

Mga sirs. more or less magkano kaya average cost ng pms ng eve ? Got to test drive one earlier sa ford alabang SA gave me P30k disc sa eve plus freebies like the usuall (tint, matting, seat cover, lto, rain visor, and car cover) ok naman handling nya, sabi nya pms cost on an average is around P4 to P5k daw. nalilito tuloy ako kung eve o monty. havent test driven a vgt monty yet. pero na aastigan ako sa itsura ng eve kse. isip ko baka next yr mag labas na ng baging facelifted na eve. opinion nyo guys ?

SA is correct sa PMS cost, php5k average kapag sa casa. Pero pag sa labas lang mura na, 7li of oil (250php Valvoline diesel) 1750, oil filter 400 (Motorcraft), labor (depends) = around 2,300 to 2,500.

Thanks Sir Errol5, nalilito ako kung Eve o monty, apat talaga choices ko Strada, sportage, montero o everest. Matagal ko na kasing gusto ng SUV, eve and monty talaga last two options ko kung kakayanin ko kumuha ng SUV. litong lito ako sa dalawa seems to me na even ang laban nila parang wala akong makitang lamang ang isa pag dating sa pro's and cons heheheheh. siguro sa resale value nlang siguro and aftermarket sales nalang nagkakatalo. siguro kung mabigyan pako ng mas mataas na discount and malupit na freebies dun nako. heheheh

Thanks, I'm Scheduled to get it this tuesday, inabot kasi ng Holyweek sayang gusto ko pa naman sanang ihabol sa long break, di na umabot. Anyway, as soon I get it on tuesday I'll post a picture, bago ako sa Ford, I'm driving an Isuzu Crosswind which is really like a dinosaur, kaya sobrang naappreciate ko ang Everest during my test drive, how can a car so big so easy to drive. speed is also very good, with my crosswind I need to pray a little every time i try to overtake, this is coupled with shift down accelerate then shift up, effort talaga. Looking forward to drive my new everest.

I sure hope okay yung makukuha kung Everest, I will be saving a lot compared to buying a new one which was the original plan.

*lapella: oo naman, just talk to the dealer first, get all the discounts that you can get and then present that to your bank. The total amount (less cash discount) less the % of your down payment (20% is the minimum for bank) = actual loan amount sa bank.
Give your dp to the bank, get the manager's check that they will give you, give this to your dealer/SA and drive your new Eve home!

deal should be sweeter now than before (back in 2010 i got mine less 40k+free chattel). visit at least 3 different ford casas (Dearborn vs Laus vs etc), show them what Casa1 offered and the other will definitely offer something better if not match it.

Thanks for the helpful tips Sir. Is it advisable to tell it agad sa dealer na bank loan ako? I'm afraid kasi mas mahirap maghaggle pag nalaman nila na bank since mas malaki ang kita nila sa in-house financing. Baka kasi mas tipirin ako sa discounts.
