    guys,
Newbie here, im on verge of getting my first SUV Fort. Would you consider the Eve Trent goodbye compared to the fort counterpart. Dko pa kasi na test drive Eve eh or know the details at all.

Para sana konting katanungan nlng sa mga SA na paikot ikot un sinasabi. Dito kasi mapa cons and pros eh straight up.

    Thanks in advance.

Nasa Everest thread ka paps so the answer will be obvious. It is much better to request a test drive. Look for a place na tabi-tabi ang mga dealership para fresh pa sa memory yung experience for comparison. Libre naman ang test drive paps and most dealership puwede naman walk-in lang for test drive.

I've had the Everest Titanium for 1.5 months pa lang. Previously used a Kia Sportage as my daily-beater (still using it once a week pag coding yung Everest).

I honestly thought my Sportage would be more fun to drive. Although the Sportage accelerates faster, the Everest is no slouch, especially when you reach the 3rd gear and up.

    PROS

Steering (after you get used to driving the Everest, tatamarin ka mag-drive ng iba)

Active Front sensors (this should be a feature installed in all big vehicles.) and all the other safety features

Suspension - I live in the Congressional Ave. Extension area, and I avoid going through the truck lane since sirang sira na talaga ng mga trucks. Pag Sportage dala ko or Fort (old model) ng mom ko, kelangan umalis agad sa truck lane since grabe tagtag. With the Eve, ramdam yung difference. Of course you will still feel the nasty bumps, but I feel more cushioned from them.

    CONS

PMS. Haven't had PMS done yet, but I've read the horror stories of Eve owners' PMS with over-charging dealers. The key here is to find the reputable dealers that don't over-charge (e.g. Ford Libis and Ford Makati). Costly nga talaga PMS ni Everest, but at least every 10k lang (Fort and Monty every 5k).

Brake squeaking - for a brand-new vehicle, nakakainis lang na may squeaking agad yung brakes.

Reliability (???) - Ito yung laging bato against the Everest. So far, among the BIG3, Everest was the first to be launched, and wala naman mga major issues na lumalabas. For the Fort, there's the issue of engine braking at the middle gears. For the Monty, there's the unexplainable loss of oil (5k PMS pa lang, madami na agad top-up na oil required for some units).

Of course, baka biased lang ako since Everest owner ako. Pero if you can get over the talk about PMS and reliability, I'm pretty sure you will enjoy having the Everest as your first SUV.

    P900 lang Sir.

P600 for the pair of plates + P300 for LBC.

Or you can save the P300 and pick it up from their shop in Malabon.
