May 26th, 2017 08:05 AM #5451Hi,
Do you guys encounter something like rattling sound when in idle, I noticed it when rpm goes up slightly like when turning on the AC. Not sure if this is normal. I also encounter it when in D or R and while break is depressed. Variant is 2.2 Trend.
Kindly advise. TIA.Last edited by jvo; May 26th, 2017 at 08:07 AM. Reason: added variant 2.2 trend

May 26th, 2017 08:14 PM #5452Di ko pansin to dati, pero nung nabanggit ni jvo, chineck ko kanina, windows down, shifted to reverse, meron nga slight rattling.....heres hoping that its the engine torque being transferred to the body, causing more body vibrations and panels to vibrate....

I never notice any rattling sound. I always open the windows (driver and passenger side) when i drive off to let the warm air out and never noticed any rattling.

May 26th, 2017 11:23 PM #5456Hi,
Below are the instances I encounter the rattle everytime there is a slight increase in RPM.
1. When newly started, putting the gear to R while brake is depressed. Rattle is more noticeable maybe because the engine is cold?
2. While in idle when turning on the AC. Rattle is not that noticeable because the RPM goes up slightly then returns back, thus rattle is short.
3. After driving for a while and already parked, when idle then put in D while break is depressed. But while in R while backing up to park I don't notice the rattle.
I think it is coming from the engine bay and everytime I drive it I can always replicate the rattle based on the above cases. Also, more noticeable while windows are open.

May 27th, 2017 04:08 AM #5458Mine is when newly started, warm up for around 30s to a minute, then shifting to R, meron slight sound ng rattling. The sound I was able to discern mainly due to difference of the sound from idle then after shifting. Very slight rattling. Might as well have them look at the rattling sound.

With number2 its the aircon compressor coupling to the engine to cool the cabin
The R and the D is the clutch coupling the wheel to the engine in order to move your car

they did mention that the Seal would have won a 0-60 comparison. But I agree that a 60-80 test...
