The dealer should also be responsible in having the CR of the vehicle corrected as to the new engine serial no. as the cause of the whole problem is a defective product. I am beginning to wonder whether the "customer first" rhetoric of Kay Hart during the opening of the new building of Ford Alabang is for real or just plain sales BS. I am really planning on buying the 2015 Everest once it is out but now I am hoping that the new Fortuner and Montero Sport models be released also in order to have alternative choices.

Ford mechanics here are not trained well enough to do a major change engine operation on a Mustang. They're not even competent enough to diagnose and repair turbo issues of the Ranger.

They don't know how to troubleshoot, why I know? I know someone from Ford Commonwealth and according to him they don't do repair engines they replace it per block, i doubt if they know how to overhaul.

Definitely agree on your comment *Walter, I had to fix my car outside because of this incompetent technicians they have, even with body repairs they have a problem, i had a really bad experience with Ford Balintawak.

hi all sorry for the long absence, thank you all for the very helpful advice. problem was solved, changed the engine, including the registration for the said car all shouldered by FORD MANILA BAY. (thanks to the very nice manager and staff). if by consenting for the change engine the car's value will diminish, it is okay because at least now car is up and running, content with that. so far, so good. although i have some misgivings because of back jobs regarding body paint, oh well, what with a friendly staff and great customer service, plus a great manager they have there... i'll just look on the bright side, helpful manager and staff and car up and running. =)

Good to hear that everything went well with your car. Kudos to Ford Manila Bay too. Ang tamang step talaga is to replace with a new engine. it'll take 2-4 weeks to ship a new engine

Try checking your cabin filter, might need replacement.

Could also be that what you're smelling is your carbon deposits burning (this is good). Usually happens when the car is revved hard after several weeks of just low speed travels. When was the last time the car had its oil changed?

Im so happy someone replied, thank you po! I don't know if this is true, nag search ako if saan nakalagay ang cabin filter ng 2012 ford escape, ang sabi wala daw filter, usually it's a dealer deoption daw. Second hand na namin siya nabili, ill Check dun sa owner kailan nia pina changed oil.
