Does this mean the 1.8 Ghia will lose its chrome grill? ...or is the facelift only for the RP diesel Focus hatchback?

wow a diesel variant. the car in the video's too small pero do I still notice dramatic body roll sa mga sharp corners or I could be wrong? if only fd's come in biodiesel Ford should have revised this car for the 2007 WRC instead of the ST, nice to see it on pure adrenaline of a diesel.

    I don't think there's a change for the Ghia... we'll see.

RE: Body roll... that's because we're going pretty damn fast... the tires were peeling off the rims on some runs! You should have seen the other guy. The "enemy car", a black H***a C***c was rolling twice as much, and was visibly more unsettled throughout the course (a 1.5-2 second difference in lap times, as a result). Despite the dramatic body roll, the shock absorbers kept the car from bouncing in transitions.

As Mazda has shown with the Miata, body roll does not necessarily mean poor handling.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

At last, a compact diesel, I'd like to test drive this baby. Hopefully other manufacturers would follow.

Appallingly, I don't know what the engine code is, but it's a Peugeot sourced engine (either sourced or shared, don't know which...) supposedly.

I just heard on FCP that it's 1.089. That's an awesome price for this car... I was worried it would hit 1.2m.

Despite the lack of rear AC (c'mon, who else has it, anyway? ) and a sunroof (which no one else carries, either), this is a good value.

It's not the first diesel compact on the current market (that's the Elantra), but hopefully it'll force Toyota and Honda to play their diesel hands. Given enough competition, the price of diesel cars should go down a bit.

Ford is laying a lot on these diesel cars. I'm hoping that, if demand is high, they'll extend the range downward towards the 1.6 TDCi... which they can hopefully sell at 850k.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Not sure of Ford's own code for the engine, but the Focus 2.0 TDCi uses a Peugeot-Citroen(PSA) sourced DW10 TED4 engine.

Ford does not use the ST(FWD/5-cylinder turbo) for WRC.
Currently there is no road version of their WRC cars unlike the old Escorts. They do offer special edition roadcars trimmed to look like WRC cars...
    Focus WRC-S TDCi

    Focus ST WRC Edition
