after a 150km+ road trip,, we didn't use our 2009 focus for a couple of days (except for a moment when we just had to move our car a bit to make room in the garage).

then this morning, our focus won't start. engine warning lamp kept flashing.

tried disconnecting the battery reset the system. but the car still won't start.

it's a year old car with no problems whatsoever before. what could be the problem? help pls

It'll need to be scanned for codes...

Also, don't discount the battery idea... try swapping it into another car and see if it will start.

Have you had any problems with your immobilizer?

Yes I was also thinking about that. I had a simillar problem when I drove my Lancer to Subic 2 weeks ago. The car wouldn't start but the battery was fine. Turned out to be the immobilizer. All I did was disarm the alarm and presto nag start.

all my lights and accessories are working fine so i guess the battery's fine.

tried using my backup key either so i guess it's not an immobilizer thingy.

What about ecu? ok ba ang power supply nya? Baka busted ang fuse o maluwag ang connection. (Naisip ko lang). Pag start malakas ba ang redondo ng makina pero ayaw tumuloy ang andar?

Still... it's easiest to check the battery. Have experienced this at times... you can run the accessories, but there still isn't enough juice to crank the starter.

so how do i check if my battery?

btw, the ignition warning lamp is OFF. shouldn't that be ON if the battery's dead?
