*admin - If this thread qualifies to be sticky, I humbly request it to be so.

As reaction to the issue of having some sort of auto lock, speed sensing or not and my own desire to have it, I formed a plan to do a mod so that when first stepping on the brakes, FoFi will lock itself. Stepping again will have no effect unless it is unlocked first.

Here are the initial steps towards that goal. You might have your own plans for this vicinity of the FoFi in terms of audio and such so I thought it might be useful for other things as well

Nako as much as I want some form of auto lock, I just don't have the guts and more importantly the expertise to do what you are doing so I will just stick to the good old habit of locking!

Thanks to Sir Tidus, I first saw this:

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDnHL47kXg4"]YouTube - Ford fiesta mk7 **Secret menu**[/ame]

    Researching further, I found this:

    http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums...howtopic=13609

" To get to it, do the following:

    1) Put key in ignition (do not turn)

    2) Hold the button on the rev side and after around 3 seconds turn the key two clicks (don't start engine)

3)On the screen it will say "Test" and you can cycle through various things by pressing the button.

Some things include: gauge test, LED test, digital speedo etc. "

Na experience ko na rin yan one time. Try cleaning your wind shield and wiper.

My friend who owns a ford focus told me na sakit daw ng ford yun kasi ganun din daw yung kanya.

I have been noticing that the plastic trims on the door frames are magnets to scuffing. The scuff plates we buy as accessories are nice looking but do not protect these vulnerable spots. I am using faux carbon fiber vinyl stickers to add some looks at the same time protect the trims.

You can see the scuffs in mine

These trims along with the door pillar trims come off easily. (Use some firm force with only your hands)

While at it, I noticed the left footrest is already accumulating dirt. Having the carbon fiber already, I included the footrest in the melee.

    A 3.5" X 8" illustration board

Covered with carbon fiber with velcro (the pointy part) at the back

Finished footrest enjoying the cozy cove below the steering wheel

Hope you guys enjoy this simple DIY. It cost me P175 for half meter of the sticker over at Arctic Sound in Angeles City. No warranty to break and for DIYers, very enjoyable.

Thanks Sir Earlkudos for giving me the idea.

Next time baka gayahin ko yung rear bumper ni Sir Mike using carbon fiber.

Here is the video when they were newly installed.

Sadly, but not a surprise, pinapasok sila ng tubig baha. They are still working well as DRL. I'm just waiting for them to fail so that meron na naman excuse na magpalit

    Hey thanks!

That would allow a mod to put in your own indicator lights or maybe custom digital display.

    Yes, working like new.

They do not detect low objects like concrete gutters.

Once I backed into one and since my splatter guards are "bell bottom", the gutter managed to pry off one screw. Nothing major but my wife was laughing at how I was too confident with the sensors.

I guess anything has its own limitation. Even a branded sensor would not detect low things. It was my splatter guard that was too low.
