Rafraf thanks for the endeavor pics.

Edzzz, agree with you, if these rides (Everest or XUVi) are not that expensive (couple of hundred thousands only), I could go blindfolded and choose between the two. But because of hard earned money, we have to get the most out of it, para naman di sayang, sabi nga... but this is except the fact that makatsamba ka na lemon unit regardless of vehicle brand.

5speed, this is not to argue what you posted about XUVi, but just wanted to tell more about my XUVi unit... I had it for almost two years na (July), and haven't had any problems, I was waiting for the radiator leak to come out, but it didn't. I was waiting for tail pipes to give up, but haven't too! Sana wag na talagang lumabas lalo na after the warranty.

The only problem I had with my unit is that, the fog lamp on right side, ay nagkaroon ng moisture build up nung inilusong ko sa baha sa Dapitan, about 2 inch deep above knee level of an average adult person. Pero pinalitan ng Isuzu at no cost 'yong fog lamp.

So far am happy with my unit.

By the way my ride has 30,000+ km logged na.

Tsambahan talaga ang pagbili ng unit, plus the fact that reliability and quality of the unit should come's from the owner's maintenance too.

Yes mabagal at matalbog but just the same it will bring you safely to your destination like any other car. Iwas or slowdown sa lubak at humps. Yum mga defect sa units ko korekted na hindi lang na maintain properly ng previous owner and thanks to the many suggestions ng mga tsikoters. Mas maporma ngayon yun bagong model ng sportivo if i have the budget will buy it na.

Everest somehow looks for oldies.. but the fact behind the Eve "Built Tough"

    THANKS

My xuv is already at 42T kms . As far as the engine is concerned, walang kaproble-problema. Yun problem with the exhaust pipes ay na-solve ko na. 3x na akong binabangga form behind (grrrr!!! all involving these wreckless FX taxi drivers) pero one thing lang masasabi ko...Matigas at Matibay ang kaha ng xwind. Akala ko nga dahil hardened plastic lang yun mga cladding ay madali masira but on the contrary wasak lahat ng harapan nung mga bumangga sa akin. Nakabullbars pa nga yun pinakalatest last April. Hehehehe.

pepengtom::: What do you expect from diesel engines? Lahat naman ng diesel engines mausok at one point or the other. And may I remind you are posting at Trucks, SUV's, AUV's, and Anything and Everything Diesel.

    from Yehey! Motoring News

    http://www.yehey.com.ph/lifestyle/mo...2.aspx?id=6296

    [QUOTE]
With these in mind, 23 Isuzu vehicle owners, fueled by the spirit of competition and TOTAL Low-Sulfur Diesel, wrestled their way towards the province of Pangasinan, after leaving Gencars Sto. Tomas, Batangas by about 4 am. At noon the participants came in one by one at the endpoint, which was the TOTAL Station in Mangaldan, Pangasinan. Top fuel consumption figures for this event was 16.5348 km/l for the Isuzu D-MAX, 16.9419 km/l for the Trooper 4 x 2, 22.4345 for the Crosswind, and 23.1245 km/l for the Fuego. The winners also received cash prizes and gift packs courtesy of Isuzu and Total. [/QOUTE]

Paano kaya yun nakuha gawin 22.43Km/liter? What were the guidelines/rules? Can the Ford Everest meet or beat that?

I'm sure anyone can also do the same consumption. Run at 50km/h on top gear. Switch off compressor switch for AC. Fold both sidemirrors & retract arial antennas. Sport OE spec tires and mags. And run continously for 4-5 hours straight. No aburpt acceleration and stops. When approaching a traffic area, shifting to neutral helps, and downsloped roads. Control your acceleration and shift just after reaching 1,500rpm.

di kaya ganito pa ang mga ginawa:

    - remove spare tire
    - fuel only at 1/4 level
    - no claddings
    - passengers' seat removed

Nope, every vehicle is scrutinized even the tire pressures were checked before deployed. Filters checked for presence. Upto the last bolt was checked.

Hey, I tried it (except for folding both side mirrors)... already I see some improvement. Where before I would usually have finished up a quarter of my tank, I see that I've consumed less than that. Wow! Still need some getting used to it but nevertheless, wow!

Rebadged Mazda Proceed Marvie sa Japan ang Everest, since Mazda is owned by Ford and they share parts and platforms. Mitsubishi G is the Montero Sport in the states and the Challenger in Japan.

I think its called Nativa here in the Middle East. My friend bought 1. Its 4x4 SUV similar to Nissan Pathfinder, except i find it more comfortable. Yong MB? Wala, pinagpag lang yong dumi, di man lang na-dent.
