Instead of making a new thread, dito na lang as in pertains to Ford Motor Co. sales anyway...
Ford has toppled General Motors as Canadian auto industry leader for the first time in more than 50 years.
Oakville-based Ford Motor Co. of Canada Ltd. claimed the title Tuesday after reporting that sales of new cars and trucks jumped 19 per cent to 267,974 vehicles in 2010 from the previous year.

Bravo! I used to live in Canada (in fact am a citizen) and GM is so popular back then... Just shocked to see Ford toppling GM, never thought it was possible!
Side comment lang, Ford sold 267,000+++ vehicles in Canada in 2010, the whole Philippine market never even got close to 200,000 units and we have 3X-4X more population than Canada... Our market is really pathetic...

Alan Mulally is being interviewed in CNBC right now as I type this...
He mentioned about a new Escape being revealed later in the North American International Auto Show... And of course the C-Max, which kinda surprised people by Ford entering the mini van segment again...

Ford is #1 now in customer loyalty in the US... Beating Toyota and GM... First time again for Ford since 1999...
NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Ford Motor Co. is the top car manufacturer in owner loyalty, according to a study released Wednesday by the consulting firm Polk. This is the first time since 1999 that Ford has earned that distinction.
Toyota won the honor last year but fell to second place this year. General Motors was third.

just to clarify.
Ford did take a multi-billion dollar federal loan last 2009.
hindi lang publicized unlike nung sa GM and Chrysler. and it's in the guise of a loan, instead of bail-out money tulad nung sa GM at Chrysler
so the blue oval did need government assistance.
but anyway, magaling nga talaga si Mullaly.
and their cars really really deserve to be praised nowadays, even yung mga nasa continental america
the triumph of man over... man!, using the crudest of implements (by modern standards).
