200 Hp from a small 1.0L turbo engine? Crazy it seems but Ford may soon release the Fiesta ST with the smaller 1.0L Ecoboost engine in place of its current 1.6L Ecoboost engine. However, power output will be about same, in the tune of 200 Hp.

Very possible. It will be much quicker than the Focus ST.

Sadly wala, or else dami na bumili. The Fiesta 1.0L Ecoboost is still a blast to drive, quicker than most cars with 1.5L or 1.6L NA engines. A Bluefin Stage 1 chip is available that will increase engine output from 123hp/170Nm to 154hp/217Nm.

None, Ford Philippines currently only imports from Ford plants in the USA and Thailand.

The Fiesta ST is only made in Germany and Mexico.

All Ecoboost engines are turbocharged and direct-injected.

They're really pushing the limits of technology here. I wonder if reliability will take a hit with that engine producing enormous power for it's size.

Ford made a Formula Ford racecar with the 1.0L Ecoboost engine tuned to 202hp. I guess 200hp with some good tuning is achievable for a road car engine. The current EUDM 1.0L Ecoboost engine is already rated at 140hp in stock tune.

No arguments there about it being achievable. They can probably make it reach 300HP, but then it can only do so for a few minutes before the engine eats itself to shreds.

But 200HP, when even 1.8L NA engines have a bit of trouble to achieve, will definitely be a factor for longevity on a 1.0L boosted engine, I think.

Ford is veering away from the old 1.6L Ecoboost engine. Most new Ford models come with the smaller 1.5L Ecoboost engine. A Fiesta ST with a 1.5L Ecoboost tuned at 200hp/290Nm will still be a blast to drive.

I also think a 1.5 EcoBoost would make more sense in the next Fiesta ST.
A 1.0 EcoBoost tuned to 202 hp (like the one-off Formula Ford racecar) would mean it's probably near its performance limitations. With other B-segment hot-hatch competitors aiming for 200hp and more, Ford would probably need an engine that can be tuned further beyond 200hp, this is the reason I'd prefer a hotter version of the 1.5 EcoBoost in the ST.

A Fiesta ST220 with 220hp 1.5 EcoBoost sounds very interesting.
